Which DPR?. By your logic, gas reserve in 1 oil block amounts to largest?
In the same data, have you checked the reserves of others for both Associated and Non Associated?

Having some skirmishes of gas projects do not amount to being the largest gas reservoir. Bayelsa, Rivers, Delta have tons of far bigger gas projects than you can ever find in the SE.

Its apparent you have little knowledge of geology and I suggest you read and learn , instead of letting your hate for the Igbo play you like a fhool.

It's not a guess I studied geology. Lemme clear you, temperature, timing, rock formations are enssential for occurrence of petroleum. The north is basement complex (meaning they don't have sediments to support accumulation of oil and or gas, even if by miracle they do, they still don't have source rock to generate the oil. Oil moves from Akata(imo shale) to Agbada formations in the Niger Delta basin, Anambra basin has nanka formation but the noth has got Dahomey, bida, Chad basins which are baren with hydrocarbon), too Rocky for oil and gas. South East is a sweet spot for gas, the most favorable zone for huge gas deposit. Please let's be guided, don't choose hate over knowledge
EraseTheDot:

My friend, this is a wild guess. Then by your guessing, the basins up north should have the largest gas reserves when temperature is factored in.

Igboland is too blessed.

A DOTish individual is requesting of me to show proof which is too massive beyond the dot imagination.
The Brass NLNG, NLNG 1-6 which service the neighbouring west African countries and recently NLNG 7 which will be piped all the way to Morocco are too massive enough to dwarf whatever gas projects in the SE combined.

Do you even understand the concept of oil blocks?? How do you think oil blocks are created?? If you understand this and then understand the difference between oil and gas and their relationship with respect to the creation of oil blocks then you can talk. And by the way the oil multinationals in this country are mostly concerned about oil, natural gas is largely used for power generation, the likes of Agip, Chevron, Exxon etc are interested in oil, they're not trying to generate electricity for Nigeria.. they only want oil, federal Government is not allocating blocks with large gas deposit even if they do, these multinationals will still bid for oil-rich blocks.. they're after something they can export real quick but the narrative is changing. I hate when ppl talk so boadly about things they know nothing about

The guy you quoted is a spam bot. Thank God they kept their oil while allowing Ndiigbo to build up her human resources first.

Now we know exactly what to do with our gas grin

We have trained enough manpower to be able to benefit largely form our God given natural endowment. 50 years of tilling, now is champagne time.

Its becoming clearer to me that alot of Nigerian groups despise us not be of any wrong but out of pure jealousy, hate and inferiority complex.

Premium tears. Lovely sight grin

You are not doing well at all on this thread. Tell your supervisor at the Bmc control room to assign a more senior Zombie. As this topic is clearly beyond your pittance pay grade.

Meanwhile, no single pipeline will leave the east to the north. Goodluck ripping off Niger delta to power the north for future industrialisation. That one na una business.

Ohaji gas plant will power 2.4 million homes for a start. Steady power!!

Oboy! Igbo industrialists who have been manufacturing in China and Vietnam for years will be smacking their lips in anticipation.

Ovbigbo - The original name given to it by the indigenous Ogoni people is OYIGBO and had been part of Rivers from time immemorial even before the creation of Abia State. Later, the IBO settlers converted the name from Oyigbo to Obigbo. All those areas (Abia, Rivers and Bayelsa ) are oil and gas areas. There is no need dragging lands with each other.

Owerri is the first place Shell Camp was built before it was relocated to Port Harcourt. The Shell Camp is opposite Alvan Ikoku College of Education. That shows that Shell started commercial exploration around Owerri.

I am a stark illiterate for telling you Oyigbo belongs to the Rivers people from time immemorial. I pity you. I know your character. Out of sympathy and because it is not in our character ,I leave you to Wike for judgement. It is very clear you are bitter, but you should build goodwill among your neighbours to overcome the present challenge. When your brothers are attacking the memorials of Isaac Adaka Boro, Ken Saro Wiwa and Ijaws and Ogoni, I warned them.

I guessed you are an Alaba trader or Onitsha main market trader or Ariara crude and uncivilized trader.

The Dahomey Basin is not in the North and not barren. I also observed two other incorrect analysis but I don't want to digress from the topic.

You're most likely still at the elementary level. You may want to request of your senior colleagues, if any, privy to oil exploration in the North would better enlighten you.
Your guessing of " if by miracle they do, they still don't have source rock to generate oil" is a fallacy that has been thrown at your face. Copy that!
I can tell you authoritatively that oil has been discovered in the North in commercial quantity, the delay in drilling is just a game of chess.

Persecution complex is more pronounced in your DNA but with a combined dose of delusion of grandeur is absolutely a recipe for collective disaster.
With NNPC granting licenses to oil and gas operators in SE, it's therefore an authorization to tap every ounce of energy resources both oil & gas in every nook and cranny of SE. The proceeds thereof goes into the federation account where it will be shared across the states. To the remote of Maiduguri and Ibadan, the gas in SE will be piped into the homes of every Nigerians.

Please let's tone down the rhetoric.

Because if biafra is to be formed, they need the sea. Meaning access is only through the Niger Delta. Meaning everyone has a leverage in one form or another.

There are lots of narrative peddlers on this forum, hell bent on creating further division.

so when you speak, speak with objectivity
Akwaibom ppl are our friends we'll go with them. I would rather we run things with akwaibomites than those hateful n wicked ikwerres.....that is of course if access to the sea is a do or die affair
