I am currently rounding up my education in uni..I know am coming out with a 2.2 tho and with the current system of education in Nigeria and the ecomic situation..I want you guys to advice if coming out with a 2.2 is that bad..
for those in the labor market and other fresh graduates

The system does not really care. However, most Federal Universities require a 3.0, albeit 2.2, for you to be qualified for MSc.

Graduating with a 2:2 is very bad. It's as good as no degree. You settle for 50K per month salary and a girlfriend with smelly pusssy

I did not post this for you people to quarell...pls I just need your advice, and the reality of the labor market

It is bad. It will greatly limit the number and type of jobs and scholarships you can apply for.

But if you have IT skills and you can prove yourself, then it wouldn't really matter.

Graduating with 2.2 in not bad. Just do these..

1. Brace yourself up with excellent aptitude test skills - gmat, shl, psychometrics, etc (you will need these to ace entry level or Graduate Trainee assessments).

2. Develop excellent communication and presentation skills - this will give you an edge to ace interviews and panel discussions.

3. Go ahead and get some relevant professional certifications, eg ACCA, ICAN, PMP, HRPi etc, depending on the sector you are employed/envisaged career path.

4. Do not state your grade cadre in your CV. E.g. If you graduated with a 2.2 in Electrical Engineering instead of B.Eng (Second Class Lower), adopt B.Eng (Hons) Electrical Engineering

You will be absolutely fine.

It is bad if you tie your hopes and aspirations around it. But, from my experience, most employers of labour are not really interested in what you finished with, but, rather, what can you offer them.

your scholarship options will be limited (if you're looking for a scholarship to do your masters outside).you still have options from Sweden ,Germany and many other European. countries though

A 2.2 in Engineering isn't that limiting but in courses like banking,finance, marketing etc you get stiffer recruitment requirements.
I no go lie you bro, getting a job without experience is majorly through connection - divine or individual. It gets easier when you have the experience.

What you can do is make most use of your NYSC, don't see it as a moment of flexing.Save a little of your allowee and try get experience in your field.Also every little thing helps- knowing how to drive, good it skills and for the engineers HSE 1,2 and 3 certification.

100 level I had 3:9 gpa, 200 I had 3:8 cgpa and 300 level I really improved hard and gave myself no rest as I put in my best efforts more than other sessions but my results were slashed and I had 3 E in those courses that I expected A, now my 300 gpa is now 2:95 and I am so depressed like mad. most times a low cgpa doesn't mean the student wasn't serious, lecturers too are the cause of it.
