Japan are way ahead of them in Asia. Even China and Thailand. India now, it's old glory they rely on.

Removed. I don't watch their movies but I heard they are doing well. Even Korea and Spain that I mentioned were based on the buzz they are receiving from here. Parasite and Train to Busan are the only Korean movies I've watched and I didn't enjoy Parasite. I haven't watched a single Spanish movie

Most people still associate Bollywood with the old musical romances we watched as kids. Bollywood has quite evolved. I particularly enjoy Bollywood series now (not the stupid ones aired on zeeworld), it targets trending societal issues and properly dissects it. E.g Delhi crime, Bombay begums, Sacred Games, Paatal Lok, A suitable boy etc

Same can be said for the movies, Bollywood since 2015 is actually stepping up. I think it's TamilWood that's below the bar with their silly theaterics.

Anything Bollywood in my eyes these days na TRASH!!! on a premium Level. Their high number of trash can never redeem the damage.

I prefer Nollywood than those Thier nonsense.
In fact I find it offensive that Gboard does not recognise Nollywood and replaces it with trash BOLLYWOOD!!

I don't watch Spanish movies but based on online chatter I think they rank above Bollywood. Bollywood na nostalgia dey make people still reason dem. Even all those romance movies and the likes, people now take Thailand, Filipino and Korean content more seriously.

The last few Indian movies I watched two/three years ago or so, na regret and tears end am. Since then I said never again. Them just dey hype rubbish.

Japanese I hear are the GOAT of Asia.
