They should also take finger print of customers to help forensic scientist track the killer but Nigeria is not yet ready for forensic.

No hiding place for criminals

Hotels should have CCTV at frontdesk & premises, and at least forensics evidences ( fingerprint, semen ) can be linked to national database to reveal the identity of the criminal. The money that government is spending on National ID, Census, and BVN should justify why a cunning murderer like this should not get away but be brought to Justice.

The issue is not about a lady meeting up with a man in a hotel. Plenty other women do it and nothing happens to them.

As someone who has spent some time in the hospitality industry working with security agencies (DSS in particular), it is EXTREMELY important to get the real details of your guests at the point of check-in.

Much bigger hotel chains like Protea, Golden Tulip, and Best Western, will usually request for a valid ID card at the point of check-in. This will be photocopied and attached to your guest registration card.
It is a MUST to provide a valid means if identification before you're checked-in.

Problem is that these smaller hotels usually get away with doing whatever they want.
And the DSS who are supposed to be requesting those details from them don't take that job seriously.
