Nigerians benefited and still benefiting from the policies he initiated when he was CBN governor, Prior to his May 2004 appointment to the bank chairmanship, he held the positions of Chief Economic Adviser to former President Obasanjo and Chief Executive of the National Planning Commission of Nigeria. In January 2008, in a speech to the Nigerian Economic Society, he predicted consolidation in the private banking industry, saying "By the end of 2008, there will be fewer banks than there are today. The restructuring of the banking industry has been attracting funds from local and foreign investors, which have increased banks' ability to lend to customers".
Thank You so much for schooling me. You’re too much. My question is what has he done for his immediate community? He has gain so much wealth and all that. Most of our leaders today register foundations and spend so much printing t-shirts and fliers (publications) With little or no tangible impacts. My advise to Ndi Anambara is to elect someone with credible grass root records and and leadership prowess to go bye. Leaders are made while some are borne leaders. It takes the wise to know who fits in the gap. |

Ikinternational:First, I specifically premised my statement without prejudice to Dr. Maduka… But please quit comparing Apples with Agbalumo. The US economy is NOT a struggling third world economy. Btw, Trump was a HORRIBLE economic manager, but that’s a discussion for elsewhere… He inherited a growing economy under Obama, and embarked on DUMB tariff wars and a tax cut that will double the deficit. > |

Ikinternational:Nope! Capability in one thing is NOT capability in all things… Eg, Chimaroke Nnamani was a capable (and SUCCESSFUL in the US) doctor, but was a DISASTROUS Governor. > |

I strongly doubt this APC guy(Chidozie Wilson Nwankwor) went to any school. I grew up in odoakpu onitsha and there is no school in the whole of odoakpu known as Central Major College Onitsha. Also I don't know of any school in onitsha called Complete secondary College Onitsha. The name is even funny(...secondary and college). Anyways, whomever APC presents as a gubernatorial candidate is DOA so far as Anambra state politics is concerned |

The contestants are all great achievers but Soludo is the most qualified. He should be given the chance to display his intellectual capacity in governance. |

Wow! Anambra is blessed to have these aspirants. I hope at the end of the election, the winner will collaborate with the others to make Anambra aspire to be the best governed state in Nigeria. Hope other states will learn from Anambra? Not the ones that senior thugs will aspire to be governors and be supported by moneybags with stolen wealth. |

9jaRealist:Yea they are not. You should know that it is not impossible for one man to know the in and out of every sector and govern alone. That's why we have advisers and ministers. With advisers and other qualified people Maduka will bring to the table, he will be of better quality than Soludo, who doesn't have a clean corruption record or efficient project execution record. |

Indispensable85:That's why i’ve given up on the country! The likes of Soludo, Okonjo-Iweala and Akinwunmi Adesina are there, yet because of bigotry, hate, ethno-religious politics and the inferiority complex of the current set of thieving/tribalistic politicians, these accomplished and outstanding individuals don’t even get a look in! Instead we have the likes of Buhari, Tinubu, Orji Uzor Kalu and Okorocha running things! Is it any wonder we’re where we are as a country today!? |
