Don't be mischievous, Abia State is interwoven with Ákwá Ibom and Cross River States in marriage and culture. Many speak both languages, have extended families in both States hence are mostly relatives.

There is no relationship between Bayelsa, Edo and Delta States with Akwa-Cross other than man-made nomenclature called South-South.
Nah because the British created southern Nigeria you dey talk like this. The tribes in akwa ibom might have trade with the igbos like they traded with people from other Niger delta states. Make una no dey over estimate una importance.

Actually igbo land is the life line of the south south. Check the areas that are far removed from igbos like bayelsa...with all their wealth and small size yet nothing to show. Akwa ibom is close to igbos geographically and even culturally, and our influence looms large over there resulting in progress. they love us and we love them.

Bro don't hate who God has blessed cool
Small size in term of population-yes.
In landmass, bayelsa is bigger than imo and abia state joint together.

We are talking about intermarriage and cultural affinity by neighbours not trade.

BTW, I didn't mention Igbo as a whole rather Abià State especially Ohafia and Ngwa clans.

Aba women's roit was done mostly by Ngwa and Ibibio people together 100 years ago.

Those are the ancestral imprints of the Ibibios. The genocidal incursions of ibo invaders on the Aborigine Ibibios of Aro and Ngwa land shows no cultural affinity but a culture of domination.

The connection between the two tribes was made possible because of the existence of Southern Nigeria. If Akwa ibom and Calabar was colonized by the French and they are in Cameroon, you won't be talking like this.

Good work on the stadium so far, but I have a problem.

Why is Eket still looking like a slum? It's very dirty, shanties everywhere. The so called remodelling by the state government is taking forever to be completed. That Eket Ibeno axis should be very inviting, clean roads, well aligned buildings, the beach entrance should be exquisitely beautified. What is the job of the Chairmen of Eket and Ibeno LGAs (Chairmen in Akwa Ibom are just there to occupy space, nothing to show). Why are environmental laws not enforced in Eket for heaven's sake? If that alone is tackled Eket will surely look like a city but for now as far as I'm concerned Eket is just a large slum!!! No puns intended, the truth has to be said.
Eket people are the fault.. Ibeno is Abit innocent and marginalized.

Must there be tartan tracks in every stadium built in Nigeria? What happens to building a stadium with the sitting terraces close to the action on the pitch.
Most stadia in Nigeria have never hosted any athletic meet, even the almighty Uyo stadium, making a complete mockery of the millions spent on the tartan tracks. This Ikot ekpene stadium will never host any athletic championship in its lifetime.
.this is eket stadium not ikot ekpene

You have a point, but Eket I suppose has leaders too. What are they doing? Eket like Ikot Ekpene should be complementing Uyo. Please if you know the people that matter in Eket please inform them that Eket is not living up to expectations oo, oil workers have lived there for decades yet can't make the city look decent. Poor city planning, Markets right on the streets and pedestrian walkways, indiscriminate dumping of wastes on the roads and gutters, non appreciation of city aesthetics - proper building setbacks, tree and flower planting, street sweeping. The "city" is experiencing stunted growth.

As for Ibeno, the potential of that place is yet to the harnessed. I will like to know who is marginalising Ibeno, is it by Eket people wo are yet to their acts right? . Ibeno leaders should not wait for state government oo, there are some things the LG can still do to improve the condition of that beach, ukpenekang and other places. E. G constant cleaning up of the beach, making the entrance to the beach more welcoming, where does all the 200 Naira per person collected go? Organize the stalls and joints better. That beach is a gold mine. Secure the place with uniformed and polite security men. Beautify the place by planting more trees and flowers. Stop all forms of open defecation and dumping of wastes around the area, etc. It can be done if they put their minds to it. I also don't know why external investments are not coming in for the beach front development, these are pertinent questions we need to ask ourselves.

Akwa Ibom can easily be the eldorado we all hope for only if all hands and minds (leaders first, then followers) are on deck. We are a unique people. God bless Akwa Ibom State.

Tinapa was a booming torrist attraction until the roads from Aba to IkotEkpene brokedown. Tinapa is now a ghost town.

Southeast and South-South are inseparable if you want the geographical area to flourish.

That's because Tinapa was in South East?
