They will stand on door and ask you "what are you doing here" or what do you want"...

They are not fighting with u but they believe you should visit when prior both of you have agreed to do so...

the protocol with white people is this give them attitude first or mind your business first then after a while when they have become used to you, you can now relate. You know Canada is not Nigeria, white people always have a first impression that you are below them. It is when you show them confidence by ignoring them that's when respect comes, then admiration and then friendship. You would have limited your greetings to Hi and Hello or smile. Right now it would be difficult to change their attitude towards you. You don't need to move out because the same process would repeat itself in the next neighborhood.
