Camry by a million mile, durability-camry hands down due to our location (Nigeria), second hand value-Camry,maintenance-camry also...So its Camry 3-0 Volks...lol,will only go for the Passat if I'm not living in Nigeria.

But tokunbo or used Camry it is

If they are brand new , I’d still pick the camry
Maintenance
Durability
Second hand value
Camry it’s however I’m just using Nigerian factors to judge e.g roads, mechanics , parts etc

Go for Passat, I use one too. Never had an issue with it, never visited a mechanic, serviced twiced at home. Up till now no issues. Just love the car it stands out.mine is low milage though. If you interested I can sell it to you for a good bargain, I'm japaing by September
