Go to Alausa as soon as possible to submit your print out for vetting and you will be inform to come back for capturing when you receive a text message from them

Abeokuta Passport Office Review.

I applied for change of name on NIS website and chose Abeokuta office for processing.

I went to submit my documents on Wednesday 23rd June.

I signed in at the reception and noted that I wanted to see the front desk. For those of us that are using DIY method, just write 'front desk' when signing in at the reception

At the front desk, I met a polite and helpful officer who arranged my documents and gave me further instructions.

I was told to return on Friday, July 2nd, for capturing. On that day, I arrived 10:12am and returned to the front desk. This same officer took my file and another lady's own to the capturing room.

I was told to stay in the waiting area till my name was called. I finished capturing at 2:08pm.

Fingers crossed, hopefully the passport will return within 6weeks as stipulated.

Anyone that just did in Osogbo should narrate his/her rxperience oo

We finally went to Abeokuta yesterday for submission of my baby's fresh and wife's change of name due marriage. Though we live in Lagos but chose ABK for them cox my wife's NIN is having plenty of errors.

As directed here, we went straight to the front desk for DIY applications(no servicom there). We met a calm, friendly officer who asked us to see PCO for wife's as it involves change of name. He asked us to write a combined consent letter for baby's application and submit other document immediately. But he said baby's capturing date would be determined by wife's capturing date so as to use a stone to kill two birds.

So he directed us to room 20 where we met a lady who speaks like Americana and asked me to wait outside with baby and attended to my wife. She made some corrections on her hand written letter and asked her to make some photocopies and re write the letter. She then refered us to the front desk guy and asked him to check the computer and issue us available date for capturing. The guy checked and said July is filled up, available dates are in August. What can a righteous man do?? We chose a date in August and told us PP will be ready 6 weeks from capturing date. I noded in alignment as we are fine with these dates.

I was happy with the treatment we received maybe becox I dressed in full native attire looking like the Oba of Lagos lol. But I percieved them to be calm officers.

Collected the officer's number and promised myself to appreciate him with the money I'm no longer using when going for capturing.

I will advise you stamp your guarantors form even before getting to the immigration office in abk .
just so go straight into the immigration office on your left hand side is the help desk submit your credentials to anyone you find there and you'll be giving directions on what to do I next l vet my document and captured same day strictly DIY

How long does it take to get the passport from date of interview for renewal.anyone who has recently done?

I went to Alausa yesterday on a DIY route of renewal for my passport capturing. But my own print out slip is more than 6weeks ooo. Did anyone notice this or it will be ready in that 6weeks period. I captured on July 5 and collection date shows September 7th

Ha!hmmm...Be ready for the waiting game.If he needs the passport urgently I'd advice he gets it done on time the other way (getting a contact in nimc)cos it takes months before the name drops.With the other way,within 2days the name will dropped

Please, pardon my naivety! I have been reading about NIN verification and 'name dropping' here. What does this mean? After submission of documents and capturing, is there more to be done before passport collection?

Note, I have my temporary NIMC card (the one with the barcode) and I added a copy of to my application.

Imagine, yet I submitted my application documents since on the 17th at Port Harcourt office and i'm yet to get a text/call. Goes a long way to show how bad the idea of DIY at Port Harcourt office is frowned upon.

Good news for my DIY peeps. Owing to what I read here about how there are less crowd at Festac Passport Office compare to Ikoyi and Alausa, I started the re-issuance process for my wife expired passport on Monday by filling the form & making payment online and chose Festac Centre.
We proceeded to Festac next day (yesterday) with the print outs. The officers were initially not receptive to DIY but seeing us maintaining our ground while being cautious, they yielded. The whole process was concluded in 3 hours and my wife did her capturing.

I felt I owe my great Nairalanders this testimony, as the whole process from registering online to capturing took less than 24hrs and it’s strictly DIY.

Sir, if I may ask, cuz I'm into same issues with NIN for my wife due to changing of name due marriage and fresh passport for baby
1,what are the document submitted for wifee?, NIN and marriage certificate included?

Did capturing at ALAUSA on the 15/06/2021. But on the printout slip I was given the collection date stated 24/06/2021. I am yet to receive any text or email for collection!!!

Please how much is an expedited 5 years passport ?

those talking about what you mentioned have issues where details on their nin and their international passports do not match. so changes have to be made on their nin so it tallies with their passports before their passport application can be processed.
