Hey guys, I feel this has happened once in almost every Nigerian home, have you ever been teased by your mom and sister’s especially when helping them to do house chores like maybe pounding pepper for them while In the kitchen, and you get to hear them say words like; hmm pound well so that when you get married you’ll be helping your wife pound pepper . For me I will then tell them to leave me alone that I would not get married, it felt so weird and creepy and they’ll all start laughing Lol guys share yours.

What I remember my mum teasing me about was speaking our language. So that tomorrow people in the village will not use it to mock us or say we are lost in lagos.

Then, I used to be like...who gives a hoot. Let them take a back seat for all I care mehn.. lol

Today, I cant speak Igbo language very well. And the last time I traveled, I spoke only to the youth who understood English language. Old people were avoided because I can't speak! Im not even bothered.
