With all due respect, I don't entirely agree with that submission. While that may be the reason in some cases, I don't think just generalisation is okay. There could be other issues on ground, which might be issues with the school's system of teaching, the way exams are set or marked, general wellbeing of the students themselves which might include the state of their hostels and a host of other things.

Just concluding that the IQ of the students is the issue is the generalisation that I was talking about and which will not help them to get to the root of the matter.

In summary, the educational system in Nigeria is faulty. All you just mentioned is the very things that plague our educational system — no soothsayer is needed to foretell that.

Everything we wrote was self taught, the Council of Legal Education neglected this set of students nothing was done to protect the interest of students.
About five weeks into lecture, the pandemic started in 2020, there was no externship, no court attachment, no communication to keep students abreast of their plans. Till late December 2020 when they said Law school will resume lecture and From January to match there will be revision (January 2021) they further postpone the resumption till first week of February . Despite the alteration of their plans exams was held in March.
Two hours of lecture for more than 4 topics in a day .... Coupled with a plethoral of drafts, sections cases , principles you need to get a grasp of ? The only excuse the lecturers could come up with was , we assume you have been taught online when a good number of persons have no access to it ( quite a good number of persons could not afford it)

I feel for those who failed the exam and their parents or guardians who definitely must have invested much in them till this stage. I detest seeing people feel disillusioned. But this doesn't surprise me, not when we are dwelling in a nation where rule of law is being neglected and human rights abused.
