DSS Night Arrest; Gani Fawehinmi Shoe Too Big For Femi Falana by Biodun556(op): 12:18pm On Jul 08, 2021
We are yet to see an erudite lawyer as Gani Fawehinmi.

This is not the first time this man will disgrace himself in public.

Falana said, “There is no law in Nigeria that allows you to arrest somebody in the dead of the night when you are not planning a coup and you are not an armed robber.

The claim made by Falana that no Nigerian law allows the arrest of citizens at night is inconsistent with section 148 of the ACJA 2015. The use of “any time” for the enforcement of a warrant implies that arrest can be executed any time of the day, including at night.

You can be arrested at any time ....

So if roberry happens to be going on around 1am and you call police, they should tell you they can't arrest anyone at night and hangup

Falana should focus on the human right abuse aspect and leave legal technicalities for now

Nigerian lawyers feed fat on corruption cases. Democracy favours them most because of election petition and corruption cases. They can say anything to defend corruption and ineptitude

The police should have a warrant of arrest before forcefully entering your house. We don’t know if that was the case with Igboho. There's no point trying to muddle things up as if the night raid was the issue.
As for the OP, folks like you are never on the side of justice, it is highly hypocritical of you to invoke Fawehinmi's name.
