Hello house, I’m currently refilling my express entry form. My current score with French is now at 503. I’m having doubts tho about what to put in my career. I work as a journalist but based on my research I don’t see a lot of demand for journalists as per job offer and I’m now wondering is I should choose another NOC like advertising & marketing because as a radio presenter I also do that and I can get my work to fill that in as my primary designation. Also I’m into agriculture, started a pig farm to years ago. Should I fill that as my occupation ? What do you think ?

Congrats on your high score, as long as your occupation falls within NOC A, B or O. you are eligible for the express entry profile. You don't have to practice or work with the NOC you got into Canada with, you can always switch. What is important is choosing a NOC you have valid experience in and can get a reference letter when needed. All the best

Your NOC doesn't have anything to do with job offer, when you get to Canada, you can choose to do anything you want

For Ontatio you need to indicate French as a first language (which reduces your CRS) to be selected, they have had draws in Jan, Mar and May this year....so if I was to extrapolate one may be due in July. Invites were sent to people with CRS between 458 and 467.

Like others have advised you don't need to worry about getting a job in the NOC field......the most important thing is that the NOC duties and lead statement as per the NOC website are in sync with your job description along with the other requirements of the work reference letter. Please carefully read page 1 of the main thread to avoid errors.

Rename the file from ".zip.doc" to ".zip"

Then open normally by double clicking (or by using winrar).

Remember to make file name extensions visible in your file explorer "view" tab.

You can try IEF. If you're not in Lagos or Abuja(I think), they have online classes.

You can start learning independently with the resources on this thread. Even a tutor can only do so much. The bulk of the work is the learner's.

Correct, you will get details few days to your test day.
Mine was PH, so I wouldn't know if it's done same way at other AF centres.

It was formally 85 long textes, when I wrote the exam it had became 102 and now it's between 150 and 170 long textes
