Sorry just saw this now.
Sorry bro that would be somehow classified, for so many reasons by the NA HQ Authorities.
But let me give you a rough estimate, I'll say close to an 100,000 soldiers.
This is my own assumption

That speed is just too much. Sometimes the military uses such speed even within community areas. The Security forces needs to also caution its drivers on speed limit especially within community areas.

RIP Gallant men embarassed

That kind of reckless speed even exposes them more to ambush in my opinion. All the enemies need to do in such situation is to suddenly attack say the lead vehicle in the convoy and it will trigger a chain reaction because at a very high speed it will be difficult to manoeuvre out of danger. Like I always say using Hilux or Buffalo Trucks is doing our soldiers no good at all especially the guys sitting at the back as they're usually the guys that bear the brunt of any unfortunate incident.
May God heal the injured.

Does anyone knows the estimate of soldiers stationed in North East?

I really don’t know about this. But we averagely have almost 2 battalions in each of the 27 LGA in Borno state.

I know about 4 Brigade ( Gwoza, Bama, Dikwa/Marte, Damboa and Monguno which looks bigger than a Brigade)

If we know the number of personnel per Brigade or Battalion we might have a rough estimate.

That almost everyone, there would be no room for rotation,
I put mine around 30-40,000

I think a brigade is 3k to 5k troops while a battalion is 600 to 1k troops.

The "result" of this is not press/newsworthy. However, its good to know that Cdr Bingel, a SBS officer himself is commander NBLC. Guaranteed good use of SF

Those Grenade launchers are standard issue for Naval gun boats, how is it news worthy to recover what was stolen from you?

Somewhere north of 20,000 boots -- approximately 17,000 active combat troops and that's just the NA alone not the NAF & NN excluding logistics, support services and sister agencies. The whole place is crawling with Federal Might. Actual numbers are classified because there are sensitive highly skilled elements in-and-out of theatre on HVT missions not factored in deployed numbers.

A standard battalion is about 750 to 800 soldiers. A full brigade sized force starts from 5,000 men and a full Division around 15,000 men under arms. In a war that can vary from High Command to High Command depending on exigencies sometimes numbers are given that don't actually exist on ground as PsyOps against the enemy though an enemy with good military intelligence will factor out some
of the realities on ground. An example is the Biafran War, WW11 or even the North Vietnamese army and the Viet Cong in the Vietnam war of attrition with the Americans in which sides exaggerated or downplayed numbers and capabilities which in many cases inevitably prolonged the war.

In the Nigerian Army a mechanized infantry battalion is about 1,000 troops and a Brigade 5,000 men like the Guards Brigade, Abuja. A division in the NA tends to exceed 15,000 men.

I know but when he was the director of DICON, we had alot of break through in R&grin, indigenous equipment and upgrading of machine/tools in DICON facilities.
We really need a man with such zeal and expertise in that field.

It would interest many to know that ipob, following the directive of the blessed Nnamdi Kanu, has appointed Simon Ekpa as the leader of Radio Biafra.

Simon Ekpa comes to the fold with a good wealth of military knowledge, as he served in the Finland Army.

I, personally, I'm happy that a military person would be responsible for giving directives to the Esn commanders on ground. So, whether the blessed Nnamdi Kanu is dead or alive, that shithole called Nigeria, will be destroyed.

The fulani terrorists headed by the terrorist in chief, Muhammadu Buhari, actually thinks he and his band of terrorists can muscle everyone into submission. Like I said, we are planning something big.
Wait for it.

If you commit acts of terrorism, Nigeria will hunt you down like a rabid dog and prosecute you to the highest limits within the law.
Ask your idol NK. His greatest relief now was that he was not killed during the 8hours to 8 days that he was in custody before being shipped to Nigeria.

We didn't really need to increase VAT to7%. It was unnecessary. What were we doing with the 5% VAT?.
Nigeria's major sources of income are: taxes, port tariffs and oil exports. In recent years the FIRS, had been performing splendidly. Look, but its still not close. I go to the market almost daily to purchase foodstuffs. I see how market women are extorted by tax collectors. In a day, 10 different people can collect tax from a single stall. My point is, we are not even organized in grassroot taxation. Statistics might state otherwise, stats might say taxation is low, but actually people are extorted of their incomes daily. All these are reasons for our inflation and increase in prices of foodstuffs, coupled with insecurity.
We are a country that live with assumptions. We don't even have accurate data. We just use estimates. If you have stayed in rural areas, you will understand. I don't oppose increment in taxation. But we should be accountable. Taxes shouldn't be mismanaged

I've seen the extortion you are talking about sha. It always makes me feel like offing shirt and fighting the tax collectors.

The poor in Nigeria are taxed a lot. The sad thing is that they have gotten used to it and now see it as normal.
