ISWAP/ Boko Haram are actually being "terminated with prejudice" on the battle field.
If other enemies of Nigeria morph into something like them, they would be meeting same fate. I say it again NK feels lucky that Nigeria was magnanimous and that Buhari is not the Saudi King OR Putin. Kanu won't be consuming oxygen now otherwise. Ask him, he knows he should be dead.
For every young fool daring this country, just read its history.
your statement shows how brainless and hopeless you are in this 21st century. .. Why not made mention Countries that respect human right . mentioning KSA , Russian shows you are hardhearted such a terrible person. God punnish you , God punnish NK and the government destroying this country.

Two completely different issue here and you are trying very erroneously to merge the two.

Not sure why, but l will indulge you today.

The Megalomaniac Nnamdi does not have overwhelming support, he makes a lot of noise with a few misguided and ill informed and on many cases poorly educated supporters.

I have not seen anybody from the Igbo elite giving him support, l have not seen any elected official from state to Federal level give him support. Nnamdi cannot win a Senate seat In a free and fair election.

By talking about him so much your giving assumed credibility to a person who has none.

Book haram are still alive and kicking and have been for the past 10 years. All the election promises PMB made he had fulfilled next to nothing.

The Nigerian nation is in its worst state of insecurity since it's inception. Our security infrastructure has FAILED COMPLETELY.

There is absolutely nothing to celebrate we are facing an existent crisis across the nation.

Countries that respect human rights of people who order hits on their fellow tribesmen, who tell his followers to steal guns from soldiers and kill them, who sabotage elections and are burning INEC offices, who threaten elected officials? .
Your generation is wasted.
You guys cannot think and you have been so poorly educated that you can't separate criminality and terrorism from human rights.

What countries (countries that respect human rights) tolerate such brazen breaking of their laws? . You have been mis educated.
Freedom has a price called individual responsibility. Go and commit a crime now which you are free to do and let the police catch you. You will sleep in dirty, mosquito infected prison for weeks.

Go and have a chat with Kanu where ever he is now. He has broken more than Nigerian laws and he will pay very dear.

The security infrastructure is failing in predictable and explicable ways.
The oil market crashed, recession came and COVID19 dislocated everything in a region where AIQM, ISWAP, Boko Haram and herder farmer tensions are active.

What has worsened things is this spate of unemployed youth up North copycatting what happened during the Niger Delta crisis which made millionaires and billionaires of militants and criminals alike.

The failure of response institutions is due to the failure of local government system and security architecture presence at rural and semi urban areas.

What is causing great anger and very hard response by the FG is that secessionist groups think the state is weak. That Nigeria has been weakened by the Boko Haram, banditry and EndSARS and so government will beg and negotiate Nigerian sovereignty.

Very big mistake. May you not learn the hard way and waste your young lives for nothing.

This is the Aks the Russian soldiers use.
But why Nigeria military don't make use of the American rifles, like the M16a rifles?

This rifle is a AK100 in 7.62×39mm. The Russians use AK74 variants in 5.45×39mm. Generally speaking most countries in the aAmericas, Europe and Asia use smaller caliber for many good reasons. The reason why we use the 7.62×39mm is that they are billions of surplus ammo left in east european army depots that are sold for pennies to armies world wide. One of the reasons why we never started the production of such kind of ammo.

A complete overhaul of our inventory is a must in this decade (although i dont see the funds for that anywhere) and maybe we change caliber and switch to more modern carabine rifles.

I'll prefer if we still use the 7.62x39mm caliber. Its more devastating on the enemy.
7.62x39mm caliber rifes can shoot lower caliber ammo too. I'll suggest that our military should try and make an indigenous rifle. We could make a version out of the beryls and AKs.

To get American rifles, we need to engage in deals. We could get them in the black market, but not in surplus quantities. We just started prioritizing deals very much recently. Majority of our Army hardware, were acquired from the black market.
Personally, i don't like American rifles. If i were to purchase a rifle of western origin, I'll go for German rifles. Heckler & koch comes to mind.
American rifle have only two modes, small calibers, expensive to maintain (than Eastern rifes) and its more vulnerable to harsh environments

These past few weeks have been relatively calm, just a few cowardly attacks on small bases and probing attacks on large bases.
Coupled with the fact that ISWAP's propaganda has been filled with lots of lies, unrelated incidents and attacks on abandoned bases. They even claimed the recent road accident involving NA as their success. Compare with the number, and intensity of attacks between January and early may. We all know the number of times marte, damask and dikwa were attacked within very short periods.
This lull has been on since mid may so Its most likely not due to the attack on JAS.
Is it the raining season or are they planning something big or their strength has been significantly reduced?
Coupled with the fact that we now see lots of child soldiers in their ranks.
One would have expected the capture of JAS to have significantly boosted their strengths but maybe JAS didn't have much before the conflict or maybe many were lost during the conflict with ISWAP.
Even the rate of ambush attacks that should normally be high during raining seasons has reduced to much less than during the dry season same as IED attacks.
It could be a lot of things but I pray that it is the good ones.

Check Tomasz's thread from the beginning of the year and compare.

Bantu are originally from Nigeria, actually. The start point of the migration to South Africa is located in Nigeria and some parts of the area of Cameroon near Nigeria. As a youngster I had tons of Anthropological literature that stated this. But I guess politically motivated books (and Black scholars doing bogus research) of recent are revising history.

I agree the Aks are more cheaper, and easy to maintain, and doesn't jam much, compare to Trevor, but I think we should diversified.
Although I saw pictures of SBS waxing the American M16A rifles.
