There are more fertile land in the south than in the North. The South can produce more than triple your current production if they are really serious about food. It's not exclusive to you and without the demand from the southh, agriculture would be dead in the North.

You have no leverage, trust me.

We dont even need to produce food crops. We have the money.

Just tell Buhari to open southern borders and let's see who will cry.

The north has food leverage? I used to think you are smart, but turns out you just a typical aboki.

The north do not give anybody food freely like the oil in the south. They sell their foodstuffs and if the south refuse to buy, the north become poorer. its like the igbos saying they won't sell their spare parts to us again. who loses?

In your craftiness, you said the north would buy oil from neighboring countries forgetting the south can also buy food from neighboring countries unlike the oil money you get for free.
Why do you think Buhari closed southern borders? Is it not to give you northerners undue advantage against neighboring countries?

The Sw can close its ports which is the second highest revenue generating Avenue for the FG which the north enjoy the highest share.

The sw has oil in small quantities in Ondo.
The Sw has the highest agricultural exports in Nigeria. the north only grow food crops while the se grow cash crops.

Now tell me who has leverage between the north and sw?

You didn't even make any good point, i am yet to see the southern leverage.

Pls list the neigbouring countries the south can buy food from, is it Cameroon and republic of benin

Where in this word, have people refused to buy food, if you don't buy food you will die of hunger. Food is a necessity. It is more important than oil.

Comparing spare parts with food, is ludacris, you need food to survive, not spare part.

If there are more fertile lands in the south than in the north, why are the southerners not farming?

I do hear the argument that the south can produce tripple this and that crop, why are they not doing it.

I think it will be ignorant to say without demands from the south, agriculture will dead in the north, i can boldly tell you that people come as far as mali and sudan to buy food crops in northern Nigeria.
