And in your own way of reasoning, everyone in the west must therefore "think being in the west makes them intelligent and the rest in Africa are poverty stricken"?
Are you blind? There are characters who denigrate others for having never flown in a plane ( forgetting some actually fly planes), are poverty stricken and can never get a visa to America

And those "others" are everyone in the West, bas, or are you the one who is blind to others in the West who don't think that way?

Maths is racist according to the left. That is part of the lunacy of the left.

Not just that book

The framework recommends eight times that
teachers use a troubling document, “A
Pathway to Equitable Math Instruction:
Dismantling Racism in Mathematics
Instruction.” This manual claims that
teachers addressing students’ mistakes
forthrightly is a form of white supremacy. It
sets forth indicators of “white supremacy
culture in the mathematics classroom,”
including a focus on “getting the right
answer,” teaching math in a “linear fashion,”
requiring students to “show their work” and
grading them on demonstrated knowledge of
the subject matter. “The concept of
mathematics being purely objective is
unequivocally false,” the manual explains.
“Upholding the idea that there are always
right and wrong answers perpetuates
‘objectivity.’ ” Apparently, that’s also racist.

Hear that.Getting the correct answer in maths is racist. A pilot calculates the wrong landing distance and kaboom!!! Leftism the gift that keeps on giving.

I don't know if you are faking this because you seem to be out of touch.

A book implied maths is racist does not mean it implied stem is racist. The book talks about pushing STEM to minority and I agree. I have written an essay about STEM and why females are under represented and how to get females to participate more in STEM. If a book I disagrees with on most part says something about STEM I agree with then what's the issue?

The book in a nutshell claim that urging students to find correct answers to math problems is akin to white supremacy, The book deems practices of grading students' work, asking them to show their work in the first place, demanding participation in classes and even pushing for the right answers in math as harmful to minorities.

If you can't see that the book is implying maths is racist from this na your torror

That is the fundamental aspect of the book.

Over here in UK it is white kids that are underperforming, and the solutions in that book are what are being applied to solve the same issues, so claiming "maths is racist", as opposed to "how maths is taught being racist", or disadvantageous to a particular group due to other factors like poverty, lack of inspiration, role models, caring teachers etc, is just unintelligent and not worth my time.

The UK is not the US and if the UK comes out with a book that resembles this one, my reaction will be the same.

I mean, a book saying WANTING MAJORITY OR WHITE STUDENTS TO GET THE CORRECT ANSWER IN MATHS IS AKIN TO BLACK SUPREMACY.

It's alien to the Conservative politics I witnessed prior to the orange turd becoming president, it's also alien to the type I witnessed the UK and currently witnessing in Canada.

Re: American Politics Thread: 2026 Midterm Elections Live! by budaatum: 2:18pm On Jul 11, 2021
What you "maths is racist" brigade fail to understand is that how maths is taught affects how it is used.

I used an example of a self confessed lab technician to illustrate my point. Imagine such a person insisting Physics must be believed. If I teach my students to believe the Physics I teach them, I am setting them up for failure as they will not be able to reason and think for themselves. When I set them exams in Physics, it will focus on them giving the right answers instead of showing what they understand, and if they don't give the right answers I must fail them, which is why our Nigerian education favours those who can cram and regurgitate what they have memorized even though they do not understand it. You see the same thing play out here when people post 'facts' they believe without being able to process what they post and then insisting it must be believed by others.

That's not how we teach in UK. We do not teach you to believe in UK anymore. It is understanding that is key. You can give the wrong answer and still have a worthy understanding that can be built on. The difference between the two is an education that is useful to the individual because it has developed the student's mind, while our Nigeria education has just filled the student's mind with useless facts that must be believed. We get this silly way of educating from religion, which teaches belief instead of how to use your mind to ask and knock and seek. Just try reasoning with most Nigerians about Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, and listen to them insist that Adam and Eve who went on to populate the earth and live another 800 years, surely died on the day that they ate the Fruit of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. They believe and can not think nor reason or even accept what they see and read with their own eyes.

But I guess you need to know about theories of learning, and how education makes the person, to really understand the damage we do with our Nigerian education system, though the clue is obvious in the numerous unemployable graduates we produce every year.

You are working on the assumption that Joe Biden won fairly. Sorry bruv. He did not.

Elementary high school level. Correct answer. Advance level maths.
I remember We would just not quote a formula, plug in values and get the answer
In most cases we were supposed to show how the solution to a particular question is arrived at ie explain how the formula is derived (( could take upto two three pages ). Finally plug in figures and get the final answer.

At the end you would wind up with the correct answer or a range of acceptable values depending on other factors you would choose to ignore or include.

Bottom line getting the correct answer is not racist.

Go don't you worry about the harsh economy back home. Last I checked, the constitutionally elected Biden's doing great and approval rating keeps going up. On opposite poles. Those who went to DC still believe there is no way that demented fool won. They had to a right to protest.
Don't force your opinions on others. Grant them an audit. They will look like fools if its proven Joe won fairly
Again that logic is too hard for you to understand.

You like to compare oranges with orangutans.

Does it say in the book that requiring minority students to get the right answer is white supremacy? Yes or no?

If yes, what are you arguing for? We are talking about this book and what's in it but you like to make examples that are on related.

The book instead asks teachers to have more than one answer for math problems. It encourages teachers to refrain from pushing students to give answers to math problems. The book also has tips for practices how to relate math to minority students problems, and to make a habit of providing examples of how math is used by politicians. "Identify and challenge the ways that math is used to uphold capitalist, imperialist, and racist views,"
