Stephenszego2: Those who fought also remained slaves, but they at least retained their dignity that they did not surrender without a fight, like the other cowards did 16 Likes 1 Share |

One of the greatest lies about the war is that Igbos fought alone. They did not. They may have dominated the Biafran fighting force, but ethnicities from from current Rivers, Akwa Ibom and others from 'south south" also fought on the Biafran side. When Biafra lost the war, nearly all those non-Igbo Biafran fighters and even some igbo denied the lost cause. 1 Like |

cybertruss:Do you know that about 5 Yoruba officers fought on the Biafran side? e.g Banjo That's different from the un named foot soldiers o. That many Yoruba elites supported Biafra even with the threat of prison? e.g Soyinka We were mostly neutral until Ojukwu tried coming to the West and killed Banjo 7 Likes 2 Shares |

theTranslator: Listen very carefully.I am not implying that Yorubas are enemy or whatever but ı have to call few Yoruba that fought on the side of Biafra what it is.There were European mercenaries too. as for Fajuyi ,he was a victim of July 1966 coup as much as Ironsi was.Respect your father by respecting other people's fathers if you have one. 3 Likes |

theTranslator: Every mercenary is fighting for one favour or the other. The person who hired South African and European mercenaries also hired few Yoruba soldiers who were fighting for their own interest which could be cash or something else since they were never Biafrans. Fajuyi as a soldier defended his commander in chief with what exactly? As a soldier did he fire a single shot to defend his guest or how did he do it ?Tell me exactly what he did to defend Gen Ironsi and died as a result of it. What did Peter do when they came to arrest his master Jesus? That is how to defend your boss more especially when you are a military man. 1 Like |

Igbo lost the war only due to porous back. Present South South were grumbling before the war due to the overbearing influence of the Igbos on them. The war provided an opportunity to gain political independence and lose economical independence to the Fulanis. In all the South South is still being occupied. Bros u said the truth. The Igbo exposed us to this. We were under political and economic subjugation with the Igbos. We thought it could be a total liberation fighting along the federal forces. Now it has gone beyond what we had with the Igbos to sexual molestation. We are being raped apart from political and economic subjugation. In all it was the annexation agenda of the Igbos that put us into this. 2 Likes |

Ojiofor:You are a liar I pity you About Fajuiyi He hid Ironsi and tried talking That's how a tactical soldier fights Not fighting a lost battle with dozens of angry northerners after which Ironsi and his kinsmen killed his premier months beforehand Why didn't your "brave" Igbo man Ironsi shoot a single shot? Or is he not a brave Igbo man? Was he not superior in rank to "coward" Fajuiyi? The thing about you guys is that you believe the lies of your forbears that lie to you because of the frustration of loosing the war I can't believe you're trying to downplay what Yoruba has done for you I might not reply you anymore With this your attitude If I was Fajuiyi I would have shot Ironsi in the head when he came to Ibadan And die for mutiny 2 Likes |

Ojiofor:I can't imagine a day y'all will ever stop twisting history to massage your egos. Did Ojukwu not write a letter to Banjo requesting he join forces with him? Ojukwu would also release the likes of Oyewole in prison so he could fight for biafra. 4 Likes |
