This your post has given me peace of mind because alot of people have said so many evil things about Russian citizens but I have always doubted them because even as a Nigerian here ,I have Russia friends that I chat with through translator and I must say that they are nice people..
Thank God I didn't forfeit my Visa to Russia because of what people are saying about Russian citizens
Let's link up if you are in Moscow..

Russia!

Every one of us would not deny that we haven’t read or heard one or 2 weird stories about Russia.

If not. At least, you must have heard the following that;

Russians are racists; they do not like black People.

Russian spits on black people on the streets
Russians kills black people or Africans in the streets of Moscow.

Russia is not a place for a black man to travel to; Especially Nigerians.

I get often asked 2 particular questions from most Nigerians about Russia;

“How is the racism there, I heard they’re racist?
The Good News is that I have been living in Russia for almost 3 years now and no one cares about my skin color.

Russians are very helpful people when you ask for help.

“Russia is too cold.” But little did they know that Canada is colder than Russia.

Though, before I moved to Russia I also had read and heard so many weird things about Russia and the advice was “if you’re African, dark skinned don’t go to Russia."

I almost forfeited my visa lol!

But, I took the hard decision, disregarding all I have read and took a shot at it.

When I got to Russia’s Domododevo airport in Moscow I was expecting to be sent back to Africa, Nigeria for being black.

Clearly, nobody cared about my very dark skin tone.

For those who looked only did in admiration and ask to take a photo with me.

My 3 years in Russia has been awesome, far from what I expected.

Recently, I went spending time in the Russian Dacha (Country House) in Nigeria we call village house.

My 90 day experience in the Russian dacha was awesome too.

People where friendly and often asked to take a photo with me.

Remember, you must learn how to understand Russian to be able to start a conversation. Or you can either make use of a Yandex or Google Translator.

Observations:
Many of the things we have read or heard about Russia, isn’t true.

I’d not be able to write all of my experience in Russia so far

If you have any question about Russia ask me I’ll answer them in a knowledgeable truth around my experiences so far.

Ayomide002:
Check out skoltech. It is a school formed by MIT in Moscow, free accommodation for international students, cool stipends, insurance, flight covered, and no fee at all for anything. No GRE or English standard test needed.

Eligibility,
1. It's for science, check the site
2. Has only masters and PhD
3. Get first class, not part of the official requirement though.

Ask all your questions here regarding the school. I am a student there.

What about 2.1 or 2.2?

How's visa application like?

Were you asked for a blocked account for PoF while applying for visa?

Good evening everyone.
I am planning to apply for a postgraduate program in Russia, and there are a few grey areas that I will please need clarifications on.
First, the schools are insisting I upload my transcripts on my personal page, and from my experience with transcripts, it is sent directly to the school not individuals
Is there a way around this ?
Second, they are also insisting I "legalise" and notarize my certificate and transcripts, translated to russian
Please
For those who have passed through this phase, how do I go about it?
Must I go to Abuja for this ?
Or can someone do it in my behalf
Thank you

To the best of my knowledge, every institution issues out two form of transcript, institution copy and student copy,it's the student copy that you need to upload online while for the notarization,it's done in Abuja and your relations can do it on your behalf in Abuja at both ministries

Thank you so much
I'm assuming it's the student copy you used for your application
