I know of people that lived almost all their lives in Nigeria but ended up in the U.S Army. I am wondering how possibly the opportunity to enrolled and be called up can come within the reach of persons dreaming to become part of the US Army but currently resident in Nigeria.

You are opening yourself up to a potential scam.

For you to join any of the US armed forces, you must be:

1. A US citizen

Or

2. A green card holder(living permanently in the US), if you are not a US citizen. If you go through this green card route, you will never go beyond NCO or even become a W/O.

Don't let anybody tell you otherwise. This is old knowledge.

With your profile, only the FFL will consider you. Not the US military. Even that, is difficult.

Head to their website; usarmy.gov and inquire. If the site I posted is incorrect then use Google to find it. I know a lot of Nigerians join after studying as international students. The country is so desperate for personnel that I believe they’ll recruit foreigners on two conditions; you meet the age requirements and will become a citizen after deployment.
