Provisioning might be the problem here.

I think so too, but what's provisioning

Force restart your phone ( hold power button for as long as possible till your phone turns off).
i tried it the problem still presist, I can only charge the phone when switched off and I have tried different chargers. Also my PC doesn't recognise the phone again if I plug via USB cable

Redmi 9c, funny thing is this phone is just two months old and I have already changed the battery before. I changed the battery at Raya care in banex plaza then and they told me my phone is not under Nigeria Warranty that is India or middle east warranty. I had to pay 8k because I needed the phone urgently then. This is my second Xiaomi phone and I have had bad luck with both of them. The first being note 7 which is a story for another day.

Must be a defective unit, even changing the battery that early is a red flag. Things like this happen once in a while. I know of someone who had bad experiences with different units of Redmi 4a.

And you got an Indian Variant that is impossible. When you had the first issue you should have taken it to were you bought it first and ask for a replacement.

When my cousin comes I will test his 3A cable but it should because 3A falls in that range.
I've tried 3A cables with my Redmi 33w charging bricks, it doesn't show that turbocharging animation. It's likely the turbocharging animation is meant for only complete Redmi charging accessories. 5A cables are just a waste of resources for 33w charging cuz the brick doesn't support more than 3A (33w = 11v by 3A).

About charging speed, I don't think there's much of a difference (if at all there is), though, my battery was about 93% when I tried both. Will try when it's sub 40% and see.

Yes I took it there they said they are just marketing outlet that I should take it Raya Care customer service at Wuse when I got there, after fixing the phone the then told my phone wasn't covered by Nigeria warranty that it is India warranty.

You should be mindful of your charging source.
