https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/473620-just-in-supreme-court-stops-fg-from-ceding-17-oil-wells-to-imo.html The Supreme Court on Wednesday restrained the Federal Government and its agencies from ceding 17 oil wells to Imo State. The oil wells are located in Akri and Mgbede communities where their boundaries are being disputed by the Rivers and Imo State governments. The order of injunction was granted to stop a purported implementation of the ceding of the oil wells to Imo State pending the determination of a suit brought before the apex court by the Rivers State government. In a chamber ruling on an ex-parte application argued by Emmanuel Ukala, the lawyer to Rivers State, the Supreme Court restrained the Attorney General of Federation and the Attorney General of Imo State who are the 1st and 2nd defendants from taking any further action on the ownership of the oil wells until the dispute is resolved. |

This is why South South will not join biafra. Ibos will lay claim to their resources and that will lead to endless battle. |

Since the Rivers State govt doesn't admit that Igbos are indigenous to Rivers state, It should cede without delay those Igboid tribes whose territories are partially in other states.. Oyigbo back to Abia, Egbema, Ndọnị and even Èchē back to Imo. Even Ọmụma should also go back to Abia. At least this would ensure that when the Rivers State govt says that there are no Igbos in Rivers State, we'd agree and say Yes... There are none! |

Biodun556:All those communities in question are Igbo communities whose territories were split off into Rivers State in 1976. It is good that they're returned to Imo state where they rightly belong |

The scam rivers state government in collaboration with Nigerian government did to steal parts of igbo land will back fire one day. For decades they lied to u people that igbos want your oil and u fell for it as mumus that can't think past your nose, we tried to convince you l, you said over your dead body you won't be convinced. 40years later when the oil is beginning to loose value people who told u igbos want your oil finally tell u the truth that they are happy you denied the igbos access to the sea. Who loose, no be una way loose? Just because they don't want igbos to gace access to the sea the entire SS ports was left redundant for years. No be mumu una be |
