I didn't know you are to send to IRCC for upfront medicals. My profile reads medicals passed though.

Winner0718:

Congratulations on your MER request Qlife will update IRCC on your Medical status, However you are to send the Emedical slip to update IRCC that you did upfront medical via webform.

Congratulations on your PPR in advance.

kindly note that you'll need a return ticket to be able to access PTA/BTA from banks.
since most people here will be booking one-way, I doubt if you can get get funds from banks.
lawfree638:

He meant to say Via PTA.

Even when you are buying BTA or PTA, you still need to fill the form A "form" in some banks. I know of some banks. -

Either BTA or PTA, most banks I know (can't say for all) will still give you the form A "form" to submit with your other documents. Duly completed Form “A” is a requirement

So technically, he is correct.

This is a 3rd party GCMS link....
The one I posted is the IRCC recognized link that requires you have someone in Canada to order for you...

You can as well use this link if you are comfortable with it though, but I think it will be at a higher price compared to the recognized IRCC Link..

Peace
Kriptune:

Pls is https://gcmsnotes.com/ an authentic link too?

Hello great people,
So, I received my GCMS notes last night. Eligibility shows "Recommend Interview". My Eligibility review already started though.
However, I see a lot of "FILE AND/OR APP TRANSFER" on my notes. Is this usually the case? Will this cause any form of delay?
I'm thinking to send a webform/email to all these offices to ask for updates. Perhaps, it will nudge them to take a look at my file.

Please Gurus in the house, your responses will be greatly appreciated.

Have a look at the infor sharing section of your application, what does it say?

Thanks alot @winner0718. POF wouldnt be an issue. As the parent already made in the full tuition and has over 80k US in DOM account, if not more and been so active.

Winner0718:

Please proceed from here, note you should provide the LOE for the accompany parent she would have were u can upload her docs. Tagged purpose of visit also remenber to talk about her in the student SOP as an accompany to help the student settle down. Dont forget the POF either its a necessity. Goodluck

It will end with praise

What get me curious, will 14years kids expected to write SOP or will the mother be helping her? Can we use the sample SOP/LOE that is in page 1 of the forum, knowing that its mostly suited for Master/degree student applicants.

If you really want to know what is going on with your application, then request for your notes.

My candid advice regarding medical request, don't wait for it! Book for an upfront medical!

I just booked upfront medicals. Am I expected to print out the booking form? Considering I did it with my phone.

Meanwhile, what else am I supposed to go with. I’m guessing the IME form they mentioned is the medical request, since it’s upfront I don’t have that yet.

Anything else? Just trying to check all boxes

I'm referring to preassessment note. It's usually at the bottom of the first page. If it's blank, no concern has been raised in regards your eligibility.

Why is it difficult for 2:2 graduates to get a masters in Canada even though most of their schools are not in even top 200 in the world? Just imagine, not that they are providing funds ooo this is rubbish.

I feel it's not rubbish but logical.

Getting a master degree with Second class lower is achievable in Canada (I have seen a few) but rare because The country is now becoming the number 1 choice for international students. So you are competing with many nationalities for admission space.

Again, as we all know, Canada has an easier route for students to transit from TR to PR & ultimately, Citizenship hence why the competition is fierce. Unlike, US, UK (where policies around students are currently being changed to keep them in the country) & Australia which the theme for international students is "Come get your masters & go back to your country".

So the main reason why it's difficult for a Bs.c Second class lower to get a master's admission is that the competition is fierce in CA. Backing your admission with experience, research works, and other relevant information can give you an upper hand. I will also advise a Second class lower holder to not apply for the competitive schools & courses because it's almost a guarantee you will not get a space.

On the ranking mentioned, I beg to defer. According to QS World University Rankings 2021, CA has 7 universities in the top 200 and 10 in the top 250. The University of Toronto which is CA's highest-ranked is placed at No. 25 globally.

In the nearest future, getting admission in CA will be as difficult as getting a Canadian student visa (if not more) with this trend. The number of international students is off the roof currently.

Adding to your input. Canada has fewer universities than the US or the UK. So you have to understand the competition for the few spots in the available universities.

Nigeria banks now sell USD to individuals via Form A? Be sure of the information you pass across!

I'm very sure. I'm a banker. Just go to any bank and ask for "Personal Travel Allowance". They will give you its details. However, the maximum one person can buy is $4,000
