And his agitation has not basis. He was initially right to call on the government to do more to protect the citizens of Igangan from herdsmen violence and kidnapping. And he should have continued along that path. But everything he has said and done afterwards don't have any place in our fragile democracy.

Only someone who does not know how Yorubas think, or how mentally well-balanced they are, would ever assume that Yoruba people, at all levels, will queue behind a mere mortal unquestioningly especially one as flawed as Igboho.

Yorubas are not Igbos who, from professors to Vulcanizers, worshipped at the feet of a london wasteman and failure who has no history of leading anything/anyone or building anything worthwhile.

While Igboho's cause may be just, given the noble idea that led to it, i.e the defence of innocent Yorubas being killed, raped and economically destroyed in their own land, the bottom line is that Yorubas will never follow Igboho blindly and subserviently because he has made himself the arrowhead of the Oduduwa agitation.

With Yorubas, all Yorubas have to be carried along. That is sacrosanct. No individual or singular group can dictatorially insist they know best and their deciaion is final as Kanu, IPOB, ESN, UGM etal made the fate of Igbos.

Such oppressive and intolerant modus operandi can only work on Igbos. Never Yorubas.
