The Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi, on Thursday formed a committee to look into the Sunday Igboho situation.

The 28-member think tank comprises prominent individuals from the South-West.

They will monitor Igboho’s arraignment in Benin Republic, the moves to extradite him to Nigeria and likely prosecution.

DAILY POST gathered that a plan of action is being mapped out.

The team is expected to provide updates to the Ooni as events unfold, offer counsels, mediate with the Yoruba Nation agitator’s legal team and interface with Nigerian and Beninese authorities.

Sunday Igboho will return to the Cour De’appal De Cotonou in Benin Republic on Monday.

He risks 21 years imprisonment over the “doctored” Beninese passport he tendered to Immigration officials while trying to flee via the country to Germany.

Misconception. It's not mainly about Igboho. The formation of the committee has been in the pipeline before Igboho's issue came up as a conincidence.

I can see desert-dwelling blockheads from the Sahel as well as one or two idiots who have mortgaged their parents for Tradermoni talking nonsense on this thread. Yorubas have the cure to your madness and very very soon, you will wish you never attacked Yorubas.

I will like to see the list drawn up by the quota-system lawyers who want to prosecute Igboho. At least, in Kanu's case, the AGF, DSS DG, Prison Comptroller General, Prosecutor and Judge are all Northerners. All of them against Kanu.

Another thing is that Ooni is the head of Yorubas home and abroad. Yorubas in Republic of Benin are under the Ooni. Yorubas are the ones in charge of Igboho's trial.
