What are the chances of getting a South African visa with an invitation letter?
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Deeroyalkleen00: 2:11pm On Jul 21, 2021
As long as you meet all the stipulated requirements!
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Deeroyalkleen00: 2:34pm On Jul 21, 2021
1. I think your own account balance should be increased to evidently show you can take care of your expenses such as tickets, and other stuff and still have what to fall back to. Since its a visitor' visa your are seeking for.
2. Your hussie needs to write an introductory letter that he will be responsible for all your travelling expenses.
3. He can request for statement of accounts with bankers' letter to ascertain his bank statements.
4. He also needs to provide your proof of his income in SA. Which can be letter of employment, to show he makes legal money or proof of his business : whichever applies to him.
5. His proof of residence needs to be submitted.
6. The birth certificate for your son must be authenticated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abuja.
7. All documents from your hussie *MUST be clearly CERTIFIED!*

These are some of the things he needs to put in place.

LMFAO, I told you ,you're being emotional and irrational but you will be fine grin.

Go back 3 pages back on this thread ,and read what I said; if you go into a developing country with it's own issues ,live and open businesses in struggling and volatile communities you will be met with problems like this. The surbubs are there for real investors who pay taxes and they're relaxed ,the same way SA businesses choose carefully in your country where to open businesses wink.

And last time I checked Nigerians dont live in townships grin. Jeppe,Hiilbrow and other surrounding areas are known lawless communities ,why would a sane ,legit investor trade there ? cheesy. This won't be the last time this will happen ,the sooner you guys learn the better.
I have been preaching to my people to leave SA alone, there is a lot of pent up anger and hate that will manifest itself in many ways that are soon be seen, na big nyash and better weather dey carry dem go there.

If you have plenty money go and live in high class neighbourhoods which doesn't really shield you 100% but at least you are better off. The days of Nigerians making it in SA are long gone. The ones who managed to make it successfully did it early, your challenge will be much more as the country experiences turmoil and a regressing economy.

Statistically out of 100% of you that go there only about 10% will make it out good, the remaining will not. Those odds are terrible.

please, they denied my study visa application yesterday and the only reason is insufficient fund for the trip, however it was suppose to be a fully funded programme which was stated clearly on the letter by my supervisor. I want to appeal the decision as I can't afford to reapply because of time. please what are the processes to go through when appealing. thanks in anticipation.

Hi,
Can someone advise me on covid payment for those returning to Nigeria.
I learned that apart from paying for the test at country of departure, one must also pay before arrival for another test in Nigeria! So, I would like to know if the N50k is mandatory for all?

I need clarification to this because I'm aware the test is N10k in Federal Medical Center, Owo. For those who wish to do the test in Owo, is it possible to pay 10k?

Quick response shall be appreciated.

What was the balance on the account you submitted for the application? The funds to be provided by your supervisor is expected to be for your tuition, accommodation and maybe some stipends for personal upkeep. If the balance in the account doesn't indicate that it will be sufficient to cater for your flight, medical aid and probably some extra for personal upkeep, the embassy might flag it as insufficient balance. Also, did your supervisor indicate the total value of the funds attached to your study? If no, I think it needs to be stated as the total value will give the embassy an idea of how you will be catered for during your stay in the republic.

If you don't mind sharing, when did you make your application submission and when did you receive this outcome?

Thank you for your response, I applied on the 18th may and got my passport back on the 16th of July. please can you put me through on the process of appealing as I already spoke with my supervisor and she sent the letter indicating the exalt amount .
Money for the flight ticket and other expenses is on my other account, I don't want to move it to the main account so it does not look suspicious.
Is it also ok if I move the money now when appealing?
How long does it take to get a response as time is running out already, which is why i don't want to reapply.. Thanks

I haven't seen anyone that did the appeal to ascertain the viability of the process. I once made a request about how it is done at VFS and I got this response

"Dear Applicant,
Kindly note that you can send an Appeal letter, to the consular via info.zang@vfshelpline.com. Then we would forward it to the embassy."

This process seems flawed to me as there are no official means of tracking your appeal and you don't have a specific timeframe for their response. Hence, most people usually advise that resubmission is the best option.
Concerning the money in your other account, I'd advise you to use the statement for both accounts. No need to transfer from one account to the other.

I hope this helps.

Guys which other insurance can I use instead of Momentum?
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by ensamy(m): 7:56am On Jul 23, 2021
Sometime ago I was given a multiple entry visitors visa with account balance of 15k.
I think the most important thing is that they are interested in the Continues cash flow into the account and not necessarily the balance. Because atleast I have a stable job with a good cash flow into the account. I just applied with the statement of account , my employment letter , yellow fever card, invitation letter and my medical practice license and a few other documents , behold multiple.

Student visa

1. Admission letter (stating the course duration)
2. Letter of undertaking by the school
3. Medical aid
4. Bank statement
5. Proof of residence
6. Health certificate and radiology certificate
7. Police report
8. Yellow fever vaccination card
9. Itinerary (flight)

Now let me give this free tip, your bank statement should be in naira or if you have account in another country (not SA). Even if you are on a scholarship as long as the scholarship is from SA please try not to present it to the embassy here in Nigeria. The reason is like every other country, the evaluation officer wants to know how much you are taking to South Africa, they are not interested in the money already in South Africa. This is also applicable to people looking for other visas, your bank statement should be of Nigerian origin. Don't let your sponsor present a South African bank statement. Again, your account must have a good and comfortable balance.
Finally nothing is cast in stone, some are lucky but I don't believe in luck.
Ask yourself this question how much are you taking to South Africa?

You simply need to present statements of accounts for all your accounts. Despite your full bursaries, you are expected to have sufficient funds to sustain you. Its logical that you may not be able to access your bursaries immediately you arrive at the school. So, the question is how will you survive if you don't show proof of enough funds? So, it's expected of you to have sufficient funds.

Is 4/5m considered as sufficient funds. Nobody is putting a cap to the amount one should have. Maybe I have not read it yet.

Application is still open for 2022 , hence most universities have not issued an admission letter while few have already issued it for 2022.

medical report & radiological report do not have specific time so far within few months. For instance if you plan to submit visa application in August or October you can do it now.

Let your supervisor state clearly what the funding covers. Is it accommodation only or monthly stipend or tuition waiver. More importantly , submit your balance statement with the scholarship letter. If you don't have much money in your account , look for someone to act as a sponsor ( sponsor write a letter stating that he will sponsor you , attached bank statement and proof of identification ). Above all, apply again. Do not appeal. Often time, an appeal may take a longer time. When you apply state clearly that your first application was rejected based............. And you have addressed the reasons. for rejection

What are the chances of getting a South African visa with an invitation letter?
Who is inviting you matters a lot. Citizens with proof of income invitation letters have high priority. Permanent residence invitation with evidence of income makes sense also. Lastly, the holder of a work visa can also invite you. Above all, you must show proof that you are employed or engaged in meaningful activities in Nigeria.
