In 1954, there was no Nigeria, the last time, Nigeria won a gold in a sport that was not football in the Olympics was in 96, during that period, the team was a very diverse team and not dominated by one ethnic group.

I gold each in football and athetics, football consisted by almost all tribes and athetics by an igbo...chinwe ajuwa
