Olympics is not all comers affair. There is a standard that an athlete must meet before he/she qualifies to be in Olympic train. If the standard is 10.00 secs for 100m dash and you have never clocked below it all season. Even if u re the best in your country with time of 10.50s. You re going nowhere. There were a lot of qualification tourneys in Africa. For boxing, judo, wrestling, swimming etc. Nigeria went with their best from the classics, but how many qualified from Africa. My bro its not about sending a whole lot of individuals. Imagine Nigeria did not qualify for 4x100 relay men.
