I’ve been looking into starting a business for a while now especially betting business, I was looking out for bet9ja but today I saw a new bet company around, spoke to the customer rep and the commission was great… could get up to 35%
Which is higher than what bet9ja give out
The company is called OurBet and I heard it’s owned by a former super eagles defender
I intend to make it standard, not just a small shop but something big

Has anyone heard about OurBet? Can I get ideas how to run a betshop? How much on a average do one pay your cashiers, how do you market something that’s not well known
And any business plan for me?

Please help me… this is my first business and I need it to succeed

I especially thought about bet9ja but the experience a friend of mine got with them is so unpalatable
He’s complained about them a lot and he’s the one that even introduced OurBet to me, he’s moving his bet9ja business there

just saying from the consumer's point of view.

would look so unusual walking into 'ourbet' shop to place a bet or virtual games, I'll rather use the money for something else. dig?

Bro as regards this betting business, you have to focus more on the customer side than yours because they are your selling point and disregard any high ROI any new sports betting company is offering you for the main time. Majority of sports bettors prefer bet9ja because of its seamless use and features. Hence you're a starter in the business, i would advice you to affiliate with bet9ja although there are lots of bet9ja shops in benin city but you can explore other areas and also do well to add preferably a gaming centre or a barbershop and also have a pos system.

Bet9ja is more famous and most people use it. Just continue with them till 'our bet' is popular and then switch over.

Or better still, set a pc or two aside for our bet. Introduce your customers to it as they come and tell them why our bet is better than bet9ja. If you can convince them to switch over then switch completely but if not, you no really lose anything.

Don't know if hybrid shop is allowed though

Bet9ja don’t particularly allow hybrid shops like that and I think it’s a general principle among those bet companies.. I’m thinking of waiting and see what my friend’s shop would turn out to look like
