[quotes author=richmond500 post=104137938]Currently there isn't any good party that can even rival APC come 2023

And APC has better candidates like Osinbajo, Umahi and Zulum than anything PDP wants to offer, I no even wan hear Sowore name sef, that one is looking for a chance to cause anarchy in the country so he could use the ruckus to rise(A very deadly strategy if u ask me)

Its not about APC, but our problem is opposition parties, all of them have shown that they are going there for their selfish interest[/quote] reasonable people are saying that apc have destroyed the country and some idiotic people are here blaming opposition party. Think before you start writing trash.

I ain't no party man buh i dnt see Nigerians casting their votes for APC come 2023 after being dealt a terrible blow. Once bitten twice shy.

Osinbajo nd Zulum re the reasonable humans in APC buh unfortunately, they hv to join anoda party to get the vote of Nigerians. Or except they rig their way in.

PDP is no better cos i cant even find a credible candidate there, while APC has really destroyed itself. Mayb anoda party will come to the rescue.

APC did not wreck Nigeria, it was the decision of Nigeria during the election that is wrecking havoc.

Just like the devil did not wreck humanity, it was the decision of disobedience by Eve and Adam.

Bad decision leads to bad consequences.

Nigerians should learn to stop separating their decision from it's consequences.
Decisions and consequences go hand in hand.

Very few comments meet with the wisdom contained in the post above.
That is just the truth.
Poor quality citizens breed poor quality leaders which cause poor quality experiences.
The egg cannot be exonerated from the bird it produces.

And as 2023 comes round, if the voices we hear on this forum represents the decisions to be taken at the polls and consequently the leadership that will be elected, I can boldly say it is safe to bet against the progress of this country in everything from its currency, to its economy and perhaps its security.

We re just not learning anything from what we experience right now.

I really feel for my country Nigeria because we are at a crossroad at this point in our checkered history. We have tried PDP and It didn't work, now we are in APC, I dont know what to call this, because even PDP has conscience. My major worry is that 2023 is coming and there is no Third force or new party Nigerians can put their eggs in. We will be left to choose between the devil and the deep blue sea. At this point, all I can say is may God help us all.

Funny this man was a Buhari friend back in the day. We all know the problems, what is the solution?

I think starting with the political class. They are the biggest problem of this country. They are not in position because they can perform but because they are the biggest criminals that bend the rules, why won’t they keep putting forward terrible leaders?

If election was called tomorrow I cannot even give one name of someone I can vote for. They are mostly compromised and power mad.

First things first, what are the political parties and what is their mandate? What do they even stand for? Who are they representing?

what do you suggest, we do ?

1. Sort out Leadership first, especially the process of selecting one.

2. Change the government structure to be less central, less cumbersome.

Let Nigerians sit down together and talk about the above without fear or hidden agenda. Let's be fair to everyone.

We all know this. This is basically the reason we are calling for amendment of constitution. But as you can see, buhari's lead admistration will never let this happen. Now how do we get this amendment done

Why Jonathan no amend the constitution before he fled power? Nothing do the Constitution, a Failure will always have an excuse. Go & change your mindset, so you can change your environment. Which Fulani person stopped Udom from developing Akwa Ibom?

If people are serious they have to demand it. They should not relent even in the face of obstacles and retributions. If they keep on persisting, it will be done bc the government asnwereth to the people.

and there lies the major problem of most nigerians. Us against them. In my book, Jonathan and buhari are big failures . But buhari isn't just a failure, he is very evil. You can ask Jonathan why he didn't make effort, to amend the constitution.

Who are you referring to as failure here ?

They will do alot better, if there is devolution of power and there resources, are not used to develop the backward and unproductive north

I don't think officially, protest is a crime, but unofficially may be. But we don't have to bury our heads in sand, just because of Buhari's disdain for protest. It is his personality, we must find a way around that. Otherwise we consider Nigeria as no longer a democratic country! Like every tyrant in the world's history, if there is no defiance from at least someone or few group of people, then totalitarianism is born.
