$35.9 billion for this 1980's era bridge? Tell me this is a joke or some typo error. If they spent that much on this bridge then i have to agree with Femi Kuti, "Africa no get hope...I sorry sorry" !!! 8 Likes |

rodeo0070:Hmmm. Nice one. Even when crude oil barrel price was being sold at and over $100 and PDP was ruling both the Cross Rivers state and the federal, this kind of strategic infrastructure was neither considered nor built, instead, they ,PDP,at the state level used a huge loan to build a white elephant Tinapa and Obudu cable car projects while the PDP at the centre then ,signed out Bakassi to Cameroon without tying this kind of project construction to demand from Cameroon in exchange. God bless President Muhammadu Buhari. God bless HE Babatunde Fashola and all the patriots who conceived and executed this awesome project. God bless Nigeria. All the enemies of Nigeria will lose las las. Congratulations to my brothers and sisters in Ekot-Mfum who will be greatly blessed to have this kind of huge project. Congratulations to Nigeria and Cameroon. Thank you OP for sharing. 37 Likes 5 Shares |

FreeStuffsNG: You know nothing about the prospect of Tinapa Business and Leisure Resort as well as Obudu Cable Car projects. Tinapa was conceptualised to be the Nigerian version of Sun City in South Africa. I doubt if you would say that Sun City is a white elephant project. Dirty politics in Nigeria has severely corroded some people's sense of reasoning, and that makes them to be unreasonable to reason in most of the issues that requires considerable amount of reasonable reason. Pathetic! 16 Likes |

Construction started during Jonathan's regime! This site should stop helping historical Revisionists! The Enugu-Bamenda Highway is part of Trans-African Highway, which was conceived over 30 years ago as a transcontinental link from Lagos to Mombasa. Today, the highway stretches 6,300 km, traversing Nigeria, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda and Kenya. The Trans-African Highway Authority that was established in the 1980s by the six member states could not achieve its mandate to fully develop the highway due to lack of adequate resources and political will. Cameroon and Nigeria signed an MoU on March 29, 2007 and sought funding from the AfDB and other development partners to execute the much-needed transport corridor. LINK: https://www.afdb.org/en/projects-and-operations/selected-projects/enugu-bamenda-road-tool-of-regional-integration-and-afdb-success-story-119 Sources of financing: The $430 million project was designed to strengthen trade and cooperation between countries of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS), and between Cameroon and Nigeria in particular. The project was co-funded by the African Development Bank, Ecowas, the governments of Nigeria and Cameroon, the Japan Bank for International Cooperation and the International Development Agency.
