Did you apply within 60days to your program start date? If yes, send them an email. If you cancel, you might need to pay another visa fee.

Hi People,

I applied for an expedited appointment in Lagos on July 8 and haven't received a response for the past 3 weeks, however, I've got to know some people that applied in Abuja and got an appointment already within the same timeframe, is it a good idea to re-apply through Abuja now?

Thank you.

Yes, you should see three years on your I20. An extra year for OPT.
Pefuele:

You can ask your International admissions and / or the Graduate Co-ordinator of your course on why the three years duration.

$350. But you will be asked to pay some charges like a commission, which can amout to 25 dollars.

If you have someone abroad, that has a nigerian account, you can send them money and they can make payment for you immediately at a western union. My friends bro paid 359.9 there about in total
I have someone who can make the payment but he doesn't know how to go about it ... My question now is , what do I need to pay the fees...my form I 20 is not ready

Good day everyone , it's a great day to be alive.
Congrats to everyone whose visa has been granted.
To those waiting, I know God will come through for you let's just keep faith alive. All our heart desires shall be granted; all things work together for our good.

Please, which airline is best to travel with to Detroit that will be hitch- free especially with Covid protocols?

Thanks as I await kind responses.

Yes, I applied 48 days to my program start date.
I once used the feedback option to enquire how long is the wait time for a decision and got the generic response to wait for a decision still. If you can help with the right email, I'll appreciate it a lot.

Hello Everyone,

Pls is there anyone that did their interview in Abuja on 13th July and got their F1 visa approved but the passport is still not available for pick up in VI Lagos uptill now ?
I've called severally but they keep telling me to be patient that I'll be notified when it's ready.. I sent an email to the correspondence in Abuja and was told the Abuja office was closed all through last week hence the delay in Visa processing..

Mehn am getting worried as my passport is withholding all my travel plans while my school resumption date is closing in (18th Aug)..

Kindly contact me or respond to this comment if you can relate.
Thanks.

Confirm the status of your Visa here. If it says “Issued”. You have Nothing to worry about, just relax, you’ll be notified.

Thanks, I Just checked and it says it's undergoing necessary administrative processing..
I don't know what that means..

Administrative Processing means that the Consular Officer is sending the case from the Embassy/Consulate for further evaluation and screening.

That’s strange, but not out of the ordinary. Give them time, you’ll surely get your Visa with your passport.

Hello house please I want to summit a SOA to MTU to apply for i-20.
1. Can the SOA cover letter be addressed to "to whom it may concern" or the school specially?

2. Can I reuse the same SOA whenever going for visa interview at the embassy?

Thanks

Please, anyone who applied for Emergency Appointment in the last one week either in Lagos or Abuja and got approval?
Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 16 by Viquetohr: 10:13am On Jul 29, 2021
You must have gotten that info from your I-20. It's usually 3 years on the I-20 should there be a case of an extension. But your program will not exceed 2 years.
Adesquare1992:
Good pm guys,
Pls I just realized that the duration for my Master's program is for three years. The program starts 23rd of August 2021 and ends 23August 2024.

During this period I am expected to take between 33-36credits.

Does this feel normal?

Got into Harvard on a scholarship. Visa interview date is Oct 21’, program start date is same as most people (Aug, 21’).

Main issues are that the school doesn’t usually accept deferrals (I haven’t asked what happens in this particular situation) and I fear that I might need to re-apply (God I hope I don’t lose the scholarship). Also, I already signed a house lease and paid the deposit. sad

It’s a mess tbh, and I haven’t felt this helpless in a long time.
