Things are not that simple. The US is an independent country that loves to use other countries to catch cruise and count scores. Russia, China and some western countries know about this. If there is one nation you should not hand yourself over to, US is one of them. Especially if you are a Nigerian, they're already biased against you.

If you receive the proceeds of fraud against a US citizen, they are well within their rights to seek for your extradition. There's nothing like bullying here. Do you remember when obasanjo shut the Benin republic border until they handed over one of their citizens ahmadu Tidjani who was accused of receiving stolen cars from Nigeria?

He was a transborder thief, he used to cross into the Nigerian border, not just receiving.

You can't be in Nigeria aiding fraud and receiving the proceeds of crimes against US citizens and then turn around to claim bullying when they come for you.

It's still the duty of Nigerian government to try him right here, all what they need is to send evidence and may be representatives too.

Why would Nigeria government hand over a citizen who didn't defraud American citizens to USA government just because he received money from a scammer. Does it even make sense to you? That's exactly my point. He didn't scam their citizens, he received money from someone who scammed their citizens. It's a Nigerian case now. The sensible thing to do is to face trial in Nigeria for receiving bribe, then in addition make to return whatever he took from Hushpuppi.

There is nothing wrong in going to America to clear his name.
He is simply needed as a witness in the case. If he can prove his innocence, he will let off the hook.

He cannot be tried in Nigeria because no one has accused him of any crime here. The case of corruption against him a few years ago was swept under the Carpet.

As far as I am concerned, our Super Cop should quickly grab this opportunity to show that he has no skeleton in his Cupboard
