Mtcheew! The thread title says "STRICTLY photos," but you guys must be MORE observant.

Another look at the Tutsi boys on the tarmac deploying to Moz'.

Their abdominal level holsters are EMPTY! How, why, WTF! ? A soldiers kit is as much a part of him as his uniform: its as functional and practical as his boots or rifle.
Logically, they're untrained in handgun use and thus have no Glocks or Sigs in harness like real light infantry/spec ops.
Generally ordinary inf guys don't use pistols so these are their specops and as I'VE said many times the MAJORITY of the so-called spec ops on this thread are ANYTHING but.
Kagame's boys are playing a part, they're wearing a costume, like a child posing as a fireman.
This is how a pistol holster is arranged on the vest. If it were me I'd put it at chest level so its not TOTALLY inaccessible when taking cover.
Capisce?
Here the answer , they are traveling on a civil plane .

I really live this plane, especially its modular EO/IR suite and the wide selection of munition it can deploy. Really hope it secures the US contract. It'll be a big break for SA struggling defence industries.

Su 34 strike bridge somewhere in Raqqa probably 2015/16.

Nemesis4you , please can you explain the technology used here.

I know Russian planes are not known to carry Reconnaissance pods (Sniper, Aselpod etc) so how are they able to carry out this sort of recon?

Another angle of the daring rescue performed by the Nigerian navy and her superbly trained pilots.

Incredible, incredible achievement.

This is a Garmin handheld GPS device. Who would thought this kind of thing on a Russian aircraft. I just checked their website, most of their devices are capable using GLOSSNAS too.

Russia will license-produce the Thales Damocles reconnaissance and target designation pod for its air force strike aircraft, following successful tests of the system with Malaysia's Sukhoi Su-30MKM multirole fighter. Comparative trials involving Damocles and the Ural Optical and Mechanical Plant (UOMZ)-produced Sapsan and Solux targeting pods went in favour of the French design

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Damocles_(targeting_pod)

It's possible that Russian as finished developing there own version of Thales sniper pods and they're testing it in Syria already.
The targeting pods market is estimated to be USD 3.26 Billion in 2017 and projected to reach USD 4.49 Billion by 2022, at a CAGR of 6.61% during the forecast period.

The growth of the market can be attributed to increasing military aircraft procurement as well as upgradation of existing aircraft across the world. The increasing military aircraft procurement by various countries has led to an increase in demand for aircraft payload-based targeting system, i.e. targeting pods for capability enhancement in precision targeting.

Europe accounted for the largest share of the targeting pods market in 2017, followed by Asia Pacific and North America. Europe's large share can be attributed to the increased spending on advanced airborne targeting systems by countries such as the UK, France, and Russia and the upgradation and procurement of targeting pod-based aircraft. Russia is estimated to be the leading market for targeting pods in Europe in 2017. The reason for Russia's dominance of the Europe targeting pods market can be attributed to the country's aircraft upgradation programs.

Su 34 has its own EOTS (UOMZ Platan) embedded in its central fuselage, imagery generated most probably from the same

Also they have their own externally mounted recco pods eg 101KS-N sapsan UKR-RT UKR-OE etc , they also operate few Damocles pod
