Good morning Gallant officer.I'm a medical student hoping to join the military soon.please what's your honest opinion on it and which among the three branch do you think its best to join and also the branch that will need my service most.Also chief,do soldiers get disfigured during attacks?if yes,then can i be of help to them if i specialise in plastic and reconstructive surgery?.....the truth is....I'M SO MUCH IN LOVE WITH THE MILITARY THAT I THINK I'LL DIE IF I DON'T JOIN THE MILITARY!!!

Just get the next NA DSSC form and do your best, you guys have higher chances of been taken into the commission than any other professional fields. Also been a plastic surgery specialist would increase your chances, You wil go straight to the NAMC.
I know of a medical officer way back 2016, His in Borno now, just get the form and do your best, your chances are 90% plus high.

Caution was thrown into the wind on Friday night as officers of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) and residents of Ayetoro, Yewa North Local Government area of Ogun state engaged in a violent clash.

DAILY POST gathered that the clash led to the burning of three customs vehicles and shooting of a youth, popularly known in the community as Soliu, three times.

An eyewitness, Razak Adeyemi, explained that trouble started after a heated argument ensued between a customs officer and a resident suspected to be a smuggler after which the matter was resolved and both parties went their separate ways.

He added that about an hour later, four fully loaded customs Hilux vehicles had stormed the community, with the officers shooting continuously in the air.

The act was said to have angered the youths in the community, hence a violent face-off between the officers and youths in the community.

Adeyemi stated, “It all started like a normal argument between a man and a customs officer at Oke Rori, here in Ayetoro. They had a few minutes of arguments, after which military men and residents wadded into the issue and it was resolved.

“About an hour later, four customs Hilux, with fully armed customs officers entered our community and they started shooting anyhow in the air. After several attempts to stop them became fruitless, the youths in the area then faced them and they started shooting at the people.”

Another resident of Ayetoro, Nojeeem, claimed that the officers were shooting like they had been ordered to wipe out the community.

“If you see the way they were shooting, it was like a war zone, like they have been told to kill us all. If not because many of our youths are fortified, many would have been dead by now. If you go round the community, you will see people whose clothes were torn by the customs’ bullets, but the bullets didn’t penetrate their bodies; only for one guy called Soliu who was shot three times.”

When asked of the victim’s whereabouts, Nojeem said he has been taken away by his family members to a yet-to-be known traditional care centre.

When contacted, the spokesperson of NCS, Ogun Area 1 Command, Hammed Oloyede, confirmed the incident, noting that the command had commenced investigation into the reasons for the clash, promising to get back to our reporter.

“The situation is currently under investigation. So, I will get back to you,” Oloyede responded on the phone.

Even the man who DSS arrested over Hanan's phone number reassignment was paid damages( 10 million i think) by the police ( This is a case concerning the first family).

The problem is that why the man might have had problems with Kyari , he probably embellished a lot of things which he knows won't stand in a courtroom

Each military branch or the defence HQ just draw men and women they want due to there professions or courses they've undergone.
Let's take the army now, it's likely someone that who read computer science, Psychology etc is likely to be choosen.
Or someone that has passed through NA signal/intelligence corp is likely to be in that corp. Joining the Intelligence corp is not like the infantry or NAMC or other corps.

Gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen have again invaded some communities in Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State, killing four persons while several houses were burnt.

It was learnt that the attack, which also left several people injured, occurred while the people were sleeping on Saturday night.

National President of Irigwe Development Association, Ezekiel Bini confirmed the attack to The PUNCH in Jos on Sunday.

Bini said, “Fulani herdsmen have again attacked our people last night. This particular attack is more devastating.

“Houses from Zamuna Village and those close to Jebbu Miango have been burnt by the attackers.

“They further destroyed our farms by mowing the crops and setting several houses on fire. Four people have been confirmed killed and many seriously injured.”

Please apart from intelligence, reconnaissance, and surveillance what else do Airforce Intelligence Officers do? For example do they also go to into towns to carry out investigations like DSS?

Every branch of the military has its own intelligence corp just like the army. Presently I can say the NAF has a better intelligence outfit, probably that's why Airforce officers are been selected has the head of Defence Intelligence.

To your question, intelligence officers as no other job than to gather information/intelligence and Intelligence.....

Depends on your category. If you are a security personnel it’s a good night irrespective of your religion.

If you can identify yourself as a Humanitarian aid worker it will end in Ransome.

If you are a Christian with a solid background like a Pastor. They might keep you for Ransom.

If you are a Christian or even a Muslim Youth I don’t think you’ll survive it especially students.

That road no be am. Even the United Nations started using Heli from Maiduguri to Damaturu last month.

I’ve never followed that road to Damaturu, tho I’ve worked in between the road around Jakana in 2017.
We were operating a Clinic there and na those guys Dey full the clinic. We had to stop when they started carrying their weaponry to our clinic for treatment.

FBI INDICTMENT: IGP RECOMMENDS SUSPENSION OF DCP ABBA KYARI

• AS 4-MAN SPECIAL INVESTIGATION PANEL BEGINS PROBE

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, psc (+), NPM, fdc has recommended the immediate suspension of DCP Abba Kyari, the Head of the Police Intelligence Response Team (IRT), from the Service of the Nigeria Police Force, pending the outcome of an ongoing internal investigations touching on him. The IGP, in his letter to the Police Service Commission, dated 31st July, 2021, noted that the recommendation for the suspension of the officer, is in line with the internal disciplinary processes of the Force.

The IGP further noted that the suspension is also expected to create an enabling environment for the NPF Special Investigation Panel to carry out its investigations into the weighty allegations against DCP Abba Kyari without interference. The suspension is without prejudice to the constitutional presumption of innocence in favour of the officer.

The Special Investigation Panel (SIP), comprising four (4) Senior Police Officers, is headed by DIG Joseph Egbunike, the Deputy Inspector General of Police in-charge of the Force Criminal Investigations Department (FCID). The SIP, inter alia, is to undertake a detailed review of all the allegations against DCP Abba Kyari by the US Government as contained in relevant documents that have been availed the NPF by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). The SIP is also to obtain detailed representation of DCP Abba Kyari to all the allegations levelled against him, conduct further investigations as it deems fit, and submit recommendations to guide further actions by the Force Leadership on the matter.

Meanwhile, the IGP has reaffirmed the commitment of the Force to the Rule of Law and assured the public of the sanctity of the probe as well as the absolute respect for the rights and privileges of the officer throughout the period of the investigations.
