That's what I'm saying. Handing over Yahoo blokes who swindled Americans is different from handing over a Nigerian who oppressed a Nigerian. Unless there's more story the FBI isn't telling us yet. The only story we know is that the super cop arrested a man at the behest of fraudster. It doesn't necessarily mean the kyari knew where the money he is paid with came from, at least there's no evidence he knew. So, I don't understand why he should be tried in a US court when his crime is that he took bribes to arrest a man who wasn't innocent anyway.

I wanna understand something .if our police officer was indicted for collecting bribe from a fraudstar who is based abroad , whose duty is to try him? I thought that should be strictly Nigerian police affair...does it mean USA has right to even demand for our president and we will simply hand him over to them? What exactly is Abba Kyari's offence against the US? This has not been established.

What is at play here is an attempt by the US to belittle Nigeria and let us know they "own" us. I suggest Abba Kyari is given an orderly room trial, dismissed and tried in Nigeria. The laws he broke collecting a bribe to arrest Chibuzor were broken in Nigeria's jurisdiction and not the US.

Abba Kyari has been shown to be corrupt, but he is a senior police officer. We cannot hand him to another country because he broke Nigerian law, not US law. Let us use our procedures.

No one should be extradited. Let our paws be applied to the officers here. If DCP Abba Kyari or any other police officer did not commit a crime in US Jurisdiction, the US oversteps in asking the FG to extradite him.

There is a part of the news that is not clear to me. Vincent was arrested by Kyari team and sent to prison according to the news but it was never mentioned that Vincent was charged to court and convicted before sending him to prison. Pls can someone educate me better if only I am the one not comprehending the story of how Vincent was arrested and later sent to prison. Meanwhile, Aba Kyari should as a matter of integrity submit himself to investigation and if found guilty, the law should prevail
