While you are considering, the age of consent in Nigeria, by the way, is 18 years old which is 2 years older than America's 16.

Do know that it is not the minor who breaks the law of consent but the adult. The entire idea behind age of consent is you can't consent before that age.

Millions of child brides live any and every Muslim society, even in the U.S. and the U.K. where Muslim communities are increasingly getting isolated and adopting Sharia law.

And 22 million brides is stretching it. Nigeria females between the ages of 10 and 17 which make up the child brides is the total number of Nigerian kids for that age range in app parts of the country.

Nigeria is 200 million (estimated). Check the age range demographics and you'd know the child bride demography is exaggerated.

I deliberately left out quoting statistics from UN bodies for a reason and instead preferred other sources. Their estimates are too gapping to form good data. 17 to 27 million people is too much if a gap for a example. 17 to 19 million make more sense.

In New York, it is 11. I didn't make this law. The evidence I posted with regards to the extremely low age of consent in New York is for 2021.
