How can you say 2018 to 2019 is the darkest era !
I can confidently say that the numbers are not true and they are infliated, so you're saying over 1000 soldier died yearly between 2018 and 2019. How do they came across the figures, what's the average death in a BHT ambush or attack on F.O.B, how many successful terrorist attacks that resulted in the death of soldiers ?
The really dark days or era where between 2014 to 2016. BH really messed the military up.

I used “one of the” darkest period in NE

Baga, Zari, Metele, Kareto, Kukawa main town,

I have forgotten some areas. I don’t think you were in the Lake Chad during this era. It was the death toll led to Super camp immediately.

There is a reason Bulama Bukarti mentioned that era

Even with this their brute way, they couldn't end militancy in the Niger Delta till Yardua gave the militant millions of dollars for them to lay low.

Now in this 2021, Nigerian security personnel still they use this same method. ESN can't be defeated this way, it will only lead to more anger, violence and bloodshed.
Unfortunately Civilians were the ones paying the price, while the militants were escaping and living large. Such groups shouldn't be operating among civilians, because security personnel will keep arresting innocent people.

This Thread is created for sharing Reports, Intel basically related to African Military. It's not limited to Nigeria only, but all African Countries.

DLL has become a big Nuisance, thus embarrassing Nigerians on this Platform. He keeps spamming Pages with non-military related Updates..... for what exactly?

Suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Abba Kyari has deleted the rebuttal he issued to dismiss his indictment of criminal conspiracy by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

The FBI while probing a popular internet fraudster Ramon Abbas popularly known as Hushpuppi indicted Mr Kyari as receiving about N8 million to arrest a co-conspirator on the orders of Mr Abbas.

While denying involvement and declaring himself clean in the fraudulent deal amounting $1.1million, the now suspended DCP said he received a call from the fraudster who alerted him to a threat against his family members residing in Nigeria.

He said after arrest and investigation, he found out that the complainant lied and he released the man arrested. He said after that, the complainant saw one of his native outfits and got connected to the designer on request in a deal amounting N300,000.

His account though rhymed, differed from that of the FBI reproduced here, showing the full conversation between him and the fraudster who has pleaded guilty.

In a related development, TODAY POLITICS observed that the embattled police officer has now deleted the rebuttal posted on last week Thursday on his verified Facebook profile after editing it twelve times.

In one of his edited versions, Mr Kyari removed the narrative where he claimed to have connected the embattled fraudster to a said fashion designer and replaced it with another incident which he said occurred last year.

“He (Hushpuppi) also called for another case in June 2020 and complained about a financial transaction with a second person whom he said his friend sent 8 million naira to and pleaded for his friends money to be recovered. He sent transaction slips and other evidences to prove their case against the person, All these can be verified from the Hushpuppi since he is still in Custody. And it can be verified from person who collected the 8million naira from Hushpuppi’s friend whom they complained about is alive and is in Nigeria,” the last version of his rebuttal monitored by TODAY POLITICS read before being deleted.

Attempts to reach him on why he deleted the rebuttal was not successful after severally refusing to answer his calls and responding to text messages sent to his known phone numbers.

HILLARY ESSIEN

Since Peoples Gazette broke the news last week that a judge in the United States had issued a warrant of arrest for Nigeria’s disgraced police officer Abba Kyari, questions have spread as to why.

You see, the U.S. accused the Nigerian deputy police commissioner of conniving with Ramon ‘Hushpuppi’ Abbas, a notorious Nigerian fraudster based in Dubai, to defraud a Qatari businessperson of $1.1 million. So Nigerians have been asking: what is the business of the U.S. in all of this, after all, neither Mr Kyari nor Hushpuppi nor even the victim was in the U.S. when the crime was allegedly committed?

Unlike in previous cases, say Obinwanne Okeke, Bidemi Rufai or Allen Onyema who committed their alleged fraud in the U.S., America’s interest in Mr Kyari’s case was not immediately apparent in court filings. Even though the indictment was lengthy and detailed in establishing connivance in wire fraud and money laundering, while making direct connections between other co-conspirators and America, The Gazette had to write the U.S. prosecutors to get clarification as to how Mr Kyari violated American law that would justify his extradition.

Here’s what we learnt.

American prosecutors, in their complaint, established a relationship between Mr Kyari and Hushpuppi. They also established that there was a relationship between Hushpuppi and two female co-conspirators in the U.S.

Motunrayo Fashola, who has a child with Hushpuppi, has been a resident of New York; while Bolatito Agbabiaka has been living in New Jersey. Both women were in charge of Wells Fargo and Capital One bank accounts used by the syndicate to defraud the Qatari businessperson.

Mr Kyari arrested and detained Chibuzo Vincent for five weeks to block him from further dissuading the Qatari businessperson not to send money to the U.S. bank accounts run by the two women for Hushpuppi.

Since it was clear in the indictment that Mr Kyari knew that holding Chibuzo was only to allow Hushpuppi to defraud the Qatari businessperson of an additional $575,000 as Hushpuppi specifically mentioned to Mr Kyari, this made Mr Kyari an accomplice in the fraud that passed through American banks.

After the Qatari businessperson, who was not identified in court filings, transferred funds into the American bank accounts, Messrs Fashola and Agbabiaka collected the money and laundered it, through purchases and wire transfers directed by Hushpuppi.

In the document, prosecutors said Mr Kyari received his share through proxies from Hushpuppi after the Qatari businessperson transferred the money to American banks for Hushpuppi’s female co-conspirators. This made American banks victim of a scheme in which Mr Kyari was a key player, thus the country’s interest.

Both count one (wire fraud) and count two (money laundering) “had ties to the United States, through both bank accounts in the U.S. and defendants located in the U.S.,” Thom Mrozek, spokesman for the United States Attorney’s Office in Los Angeles, told The Gazette in an emailed statement.

Following Mr Kyari’s suspension from the Nigeria Police Force, American prosecutors are expected to expedite their request for the disgraced officer’s extradition from Nigeria to face charges for taking part in a scheme, proceeds of which were transferred to and laundered through banks in America — where at least two co-conspirators are based.

Violent Protest Rocks Plateau Community On Tuesday Night, with Many Vehicles Burnt and several persons feared killed in the Akpata area of the state.

A violent protest on Tuesday night rocked Gada-Biu in the Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State as some residents held demonstrations to show their displeasure at the sorry state of insecurity in the area.

The protest started in the evening and gradually degenerated with the protesters burning vehicles, an eyewitness told SaharaReporters.

The source added that upon the deployment of security, the violence degenerated further and gunshots could be heard.

However, it was not clear if anyone was injured at the time of filing this report.

"It started this (Tuesday) evening and the presence of security operatives worsened the situation as they started shooting. But we can't say yet if anyone was injured. By tomorrow morning, more details would have emerged.

"Such protests are not new in Gada-Biu as residents of the area have since grown tired of the killings in their area," the source said.

Can the lady take up the case with appropriate authorities? Are u aware that OK ad a men have been the de facto transport officers of criminals? Was there any prove that the man is not involved in ESN ?

What most of u don't know is that of the man was in ESN but "honestly" went somewhere legit, and was arrested , the police is right. ESN is a proscribed organization andsince the picking of Ikonso, NPF have enough names from loggers and registers ( after drilling ikonso men and lieutenant).

So these terrorists can be picked anytime

2010 to 2016 were the darkest period for the residents of Borno and its environs because of the rate of bomb blast incidents. It was also the period when Shekau reigned supreme.

The Commissioner of Police in Plateau, Mr. Edward Egbuk, has said that only 17 people were killed and 85 buildings burnt in the recent attacks in Bassa and Riyom Local Government Areas (LGAs) of the state.

Egbuk disclosed this on Monday while briefing newsmen at the end of an emergency state security meeting held at the Government House, Jos.

He said there were attacks in Jebbu Miango in Bassa LGA where five people were killed on July 31 and 12 others killed on Aug. 1 at Tambora in Riyom LGA.

“There were attacks specifically at Jebbu Miango on Saturday night, July 31 in which five people were killed and about 85 buildings burnt.

“The next morning, the attacks continued at Tambora in Riyom LGA where 12 people were killed and some houses destroyed,” he said.

The police commissioner disclosed that some security personnel was also killed in the attacks.

“His excellency (the governor) has read a riot act to us that we should move out and within two weeks bring to book all those that have perpetrated the attacks. This would be done,” he said.

He warned that instigators of reprisal attacks would not be spared saying, “human life is sacrosanct, nobody can take it at will. There is a government on ground and lawlessness would not be accepted,” he said.

https://pmnewsnigeria.com/2021/08/03/plateau-killings-17-dead-85-buildings-destroyed/

This is one of the reason protest in Bassa LGA turned violent yesterday night. The military is killing bandits in their hundreds while Fulanis herdsmen/bandits keep on unleashing hell on peaceful Nigerians for no reason.

Bandits have Raided Suleja Community, Abducting Children From House To House
A witness said the victims on Wednesday morning from three houses and a hotel within Unguwar area of the metropolitan town.

Unknown gunmen , have raided Kwankwashe, a Suleja community located along the Suleja-Madalla road, Niger State, abducting residents, including children.

A witness said the victims on Wednesday morning from three houses and a hotel within Unguwar Fulani area of the metropolitan town.

According to Daily Trust, a resident, Faith Lucky, whose two children a 17-year-old girl, and a 15-year-old boy, were taken, said she became aware of their presence when they started hitting her compound’s gate.

She said it took them about 20 minutes to pull down the gate.

“I woke up my children immediately and made an attempt to glance toward them through my window. But within a few minutes they rushed towards there and broke part of the window’s burglary.

“They flashed light, and pointed a gun towards me, directing that I should open the room’s door.”

The woman added that in the process, they forced them to surrender their phones along with the available money in their possession, before leaving with the two children.

Another woman said the gunmen arrived in her compound around 1am, and that she, along with her husband, were able to escape.

She said the attackers were able to reach the section where her visiting mother and brother in-laws were.

“So my brother-in-law remained with mama who could not move away. That was how they abducted him and also took our other belongings like phones, laptops, as well as clothes and shoes,” the woman said.

A resident, who simply gave his name as Ruben, said the attackers who also abducted two hotel staff in the area, adding that they operated for more than an hour before fleeing on hearing the police siren.

Efforts to speak to the Suleja Police Area Commander, ACP Sani Badarwa, was not successful as at the time of filing this report, as his orderly who responded to our reporter’s call made to his contact, said that his boss was attending a meeting.
