discusant:

So long as all the projects are to be done outside the state capital. The state capital of Imo state is the most over-pampered state capital in Nigeria, if not in the world - at the detriment of other places in Imo state.
Example: seeing these red sand roads in Mbano here and seeing the well-paved roads of Imo state capital, show that Imo govts abuse locations outside the state capital.
Majority will always carry the vote. That is what will determine where and what project should be executed.

Imo included in RAMP 3 recently approved by World Bank
***

The inclusion of Imo State in the current RAMP 3 recently approved by the World Bank has been attributed to the determined efforts of Governor Uzodimma to ensure the success of RAMP in the State.
The Imo State RAMP Project Coordinator, Mr. Basil Nwogwugwu made this known in a chat with Newsmen in his office, and applauded the State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma for his dogged efforts to invigorate RAMP 2 in the State.
Mr. Nwogwugwu recalled that out of the five States namely; Imo, Oshun, Adamawa, Niger and Enugu, only Imo State qualified to be included as a beneficiary in RAMP 3. He revealed that the current RAMP 3, which is called rural access and Agric marketing Project (RAAMP) with Kanu, Kaduna, Lagos, Ogun, Imo, Oyo and Rivers State as beneficiaries would now diversify into Agricultural and marketing processes. The Imo State RAMP project coordinator stated that RAMP commenced with 88 rural roads in the State, adding that work is in progress in most of the roads. He said that Governor Uzodimma remains the only Governor in Nigeria that has promised to asphalt some of them on completion and enjoined Imo people to continue to support him.
Mr. Nwogwugwu noted that as a result of the synergy between the State Government and the benefiting Communities, the performance of RAMP 2 in the State has scored high. He described the recent fact finding tour of RAMP 2 Rural Project by the Deputy Governor, Prof Placid Njoku and his team as a welcomed Development , pointing out that the exercise has showcased what RAMP is all about in the State.

Why is it looking blue and murky like that. Could it be as a result of a chemical reaction?

The Commissioner for Works, Ralph Nwosu has yesterday flagged off the reconstruction of Yar'adua drive off Onitsha road.

Flagging of the road, the Works Commissioner stated that the Yar'adua drive is long over due for reconstruction due to its critical importance in easing traffics along the control post axis stressing that the reconstruction of the road will give uniformity on the ongoing reconstruction of World bank/Umuguma road as well as the reconstruction of the concorde junction slip roads.

Ralph Nwosu maintained that the administration of His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma has reinvigorated governance and administration in Imo State through his 3R mantra especially as its concerns roads construction.

The Commissioner In his words " As you can see, His Excellency has approved we give this road a facelift, i first did this road in 2009 and i am here again after 13years, the contractor has assured us he will showcase his expertise and we have confidence in him to deliver the road within the shortest possible time to enable road users access the road, I am particularly grateful to the Governor for his kind approval on this particular road and am certain that the road upon completion will meet the expectations of our people".

The Project Manager of Shanid construction has therefore pledged the company's unalloyed commitments to delivering quality and durable construction as contained in the terms and specifications of the project contract while seeking for supports from road users as construction commences.

The Commissioner has used the opportunity to charge motorists to possibly maintain alternative routes pending the completion of the project. He also urged Ndi-Imo to remain steadfast and positive as the reconstruction rehabilitation and recovery drive of the Shared Prosperity Government will cut across the nooks and crannies of the state in due time.
