People saying it is normal, when police carry you and treat you anyhow console yourself that it should be normal too, this is how it is encouraged.

Till today I still remember some persons that bullied me in school. If not for God...
Bullying should never be encouraged, it contributes to corruption we see today

Imagine when u buy a Provost job, or class 5 PM ( provost Marshall) tell u make u fall in front of his verandah with FSMO n Pauches! Bullying and beating occurs in boarding school a lot, especially all these Kings and Queen Colleges and Federal Government Colleges.

It's not right but it happens, experienced it while I was in secondary school, especially in SS1 when we were beaten with belt, plank and bamboo sticks after inspection one day.

imagine paying hundred of thousands yet the school cannot control or monitor bullying? this is wrong because its harmful to the phycology of the child....you see that after beating the child they instruct that he must not tell anyone....thereby causing a changed behavior and making a child wicked to their next juniors....something must be done asap...the buly must be apprehended and disciplined

Normal in boarding schools those days, I was a victim and I beat juniors when I became a senior too

The major cause of this problem in Africa is not by school we attend but we too like to carry senority and I am older than you syndrome for head. your judgement have been tampered with....when you start to see abnormal as normal, one needs to see a phychiatrists for advice, its not a joke....when the little girl that burn Ebeanor SUPERMAKET in Abuja was aprehended, she wasnt crying at all because she doesnt see anything wrong in burning down a 3 billion worth of supermaket sending hundreds of employers jobless and causing the owner to be fighting high blood pressure .....most nigerians mental health are tampered with from youth and they did not know

Apart from over doing and injuring the juniors which is not OK, kids need to be disciplined so they can grow up to be respectful and responsible. Even though I received enough beating in school I didn't beat anyone when I became a senior, but I still think it's very much needed for resetting purposes

My Principal who went through the same punishment as an old student disgraced the Senior Prefect in the Assembly Hall with one question:

If you say punishment is traditional, did you like it when it was done to you?

One thing not allowed in boarding schools is physical beating. Even some of the punishment may be declared too harsh.

A junior boy would tell you - this is a school, you cannot beat.

A young boy I know attends kings college and complains of being bullied. He sent the video he recorded to his ward, of young boys being bullied. I know a young lady I work with and I am surprised she said it's normal. I am in ACUTE SHOCK...NORMAL How can beating young kids be normal?. What if they are injured?. Abeg o please tell me, am I too old?. Is it normal? Shouldn't something be done about this before a child gets seriously injured?.I was never a border so I don't think I can understand beating people's children like this.
