IPOB are secessionists who are agitating for an independent State of Biafra in the old Eastern Nigeria.
IPOB with their militia wing ESN caused upheaval and tension in the South East and Neighbouring South South Region.
They went agog killing some policemen, setting some police stations and some INEC offices on fire.
In their bid to cajole the Nigerian State to bow to their demand.
This made the Nigerian government to converge urgent security meeting that led to the upward review of the Security threat posed by the Secessionists to the integrity of the country.
The subsequent change in security code level by the government led to the neutralization of the uprising.
This robust tackling of the activities of the the ESN exposed the government's game of ostrich in addressing the overall insecurities in the various parts of the country.
The truth is that Nigeria have the capacity to tackle the various internal security threats but are just not willing to tackle the reformed Boko Haram, banditry.
Maybe, the government in power is taking it likely with them probably because they are the president's kinsmen.
Or maybe, the top officers in military hierarchy and the top politicians are jeopardizing the war against the insurgency, taking undue advantage of the insecurities to cash out, as their salaries alone won't be enough for them to acquire properties in Dubai like the politicians are doing.

Get your facts right before you speak. First:

IPOB is not a secessionist group. Biafra (as a country) existed before Nigeria, so the Eastern part of Nigeria is trying to restore their old nation: Biafra.

ESN is not a local militia group. They are vigilante group formed to get rid of Fulani terrorist herdsmen who have dominated the forests.

ESN is not and will never destroy that which they are meant to protect. The killing and destruction of properties was done by government sponsored urchins, of which most of them police and the DSS who disguised as the ESN. Again, the media wing of this Fulani terrorist government played a big role in making it look like ESN.

I read the punch newspaper last Sunday on how IPOBians were visiting policemen in their homes in the middle of the night, waking them up and asking them to either out to be killed or stay inside and get all the members of their family killed alongside.
