actually, his advice is spot on. You hope for the best and prepare for the worst. You do a pessimistic, optimistic and average forecast when business planning. Not doing this is why so many businesses fail.

Nope!!! Hope is not a strategy.... Your biz fails 'in your head', yes right there, the day you introduce HOPE in your equation.... HOPE to an average/most nigerian is expecting some supernatural being to get things done for you...its a device i dont use, i dont encourage it!!

"No one has the right to tell such a man that he's lazy." My concern exactly... a man woke by 5am and get back home btw 5 to 6pm. Any day there's traffic, he face it till maybe 9 to 10pm, no holiday, no break and u still have the audacity to call him lazy based on ur own ego. It's wrong nah
it's absolutely wrong, Mr Pope but some folks here don't get the drift. They aren't putting into consideration, the above stated factors but are quick to label others as lazy because of some figures on a dashboard. Now, this has created some form of disagreement/ unhealthy competition amongst partners/drivers and drivers themselves which is completely unnecessary.

I thought using delivery bikes are cheaper.
Also why are people not looking in the direction of innosson motors since they claim that they are built for Nigeria roads ? I saw one that's like the size of matrix for 2.5m

I still dont fully understand why innoson cannot partner with uber/bolt... Drivers will be willing to pay, let say 4m or 5m for that car maybe spread for 4 years or less. Yes, its a brand new car it will survive, most of our corollas are close to 16 years or more, and we still they pay more than 2m for toks.. The idea is not necessarily d money but VISIBILITY... People need to see this cars on d road, everywhere... So as to develop their interest and trust.. was told their car is not bad... Many folks buy toyota because that is what they SEE, everywhere..

Can a serious bolt/Uber driver net 600k in Abuja??

Cant guarantee that amount. The hustle na side hustle for me. Either ways, my home boys that run it full time here has no problem with remitance (25k) weekly based on rentals... I drive my own car though

Abuja guys, na una go dey enjoy this work pass us o. No (much) traffic, no LASTMA and co. Abeg gist us, what are some of the challenges you guys face?

Haha¡!! you sef sabi.... Challenges de sha, asides regular wear and tear of the car being used, there's the issue with AMAC(Abuja Municipal Area Council) task force that will apprehend you for just parking in a wrong area, VIO stopping you and while checking your paperS they are looking at your tires. Upon sighting that you have, even its one worn out tire, bro, you go enter yard o. Thats when they will decide to inspect your brake lights, spare tire and fire extinguisher. MF idiots... then the usuall police stopping for tint permit(normal). Asides all these stumbling blocks, its always smooth sailing. I dont drive to the hinterland no matter the surge figure. I de avoid some kain areas gan. I be Iju-Ishaga boy so i sabi how e de go for streets

of course when done properly, motivation is bae but right now, we have competition. There's a thin line between motivation and competition. If not managed properly, it births negative consequences. We're already witnessing the effects of both largely because it wasn't done properly. Dashboard screenshot here was more like bragging rights for some or to settle scores. there wasn't any practical suggestions for drivers who were interested in attaining such figures. The absence of these details gave rise to partners desiring an increase in rental fees. But are they aware of the time and dangers associated with the high figures on the posted dashboard? No.
