My gentleman sense lets me stop at 5 slices.
I don't consider bread and tea a meal. So I just eat it while planning for the next proper meal which is usually brunch.

I believe you can finish a loaf.... Depending on the type of bread. Some loaves of bread are like foam, squeeze them and they become ⅓ of the size.
