And having watched the first 25 mins of this Community Shield Final, it's easy to see that Vardy is up top supported by Barnes from the left, Perez from the right and Maddison through the middle.
Perez seems to be playing closer to Vardy while drifting to the right sometimes but Barnes is found wide always on the left.
It's like a 4-2-3-1/4-1-4-1 variant and that easily explains why Nacho isn't starting.
Rodgers is playing with one actual striker set-up although Perez is also a striker in disguise judging by how close he stays to Vardy so far in this game.

Also, Vardy leads the high pressing on Man City defenders and their buildup from the back alongside Perez and Maddison.

TheSuperNerd:
Perez also starts. Another time it could be Perez out, Nacho in. Barnes is not the one pairing Vardy up top. It looks like Perez.

But yes, Barnes' return was inevitable. He's key to Leicester's attack especially when they play 4-1-4-1 or morph into other formations.

Watford will not survive the drop this season.
They have been buying trash grin, already made up to 15 signings

Leicester City: Good starters, bad finishers.
They have really played well so far.
Ndidi will likely move before the window closes, I know this is the match Ole has been wanting to watch.
Iheanacho I hope it's not going to be like this for the coming season? Only gets to play when someone is out injured?
Edozie will surely move on loan.
At the end Manchester City will win the next champions league.
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by TheSuperNerd(m): 6:12pm On Aug 07, 2021
Barnes created the only truly big chance of the first half but Vardy was denied by a touch from Steffen who deflected it onto his goal post.

Leicester is balling good so far and should be 1-0 up but if Grealish, for instance, comes on for Edozie, that left side of the pitch in the Man City attack fit see some huge leap in levels. wink

Meanwhile, among the Midfielders alone in this game, Ndidi has recorded the highest passing accuracy for both sides. He recorded 96% accurate passing in the first half and only lost possession twice.

The Big Wilf is doing okay.

I know they don't play in the same position but it was because of Barnes' injury Leicester switched to two upfront.

In other update, how fast was Ndidi there vs Mahrez.

Yes. That's true.

Mehn... in that moment, both Ndidi and Ricardo brought out their inner flash. Ndidi especially did well staying on Mahrez and applying pressure which causesd mahrez to shoot recklessly. I know Ndidi is fast but he really took his speed up a notch there.

Seniorman doing Seniorman things!!!!

Pressures Ake! Wins the ball! Gets a foul! Penalty to Leicester and 1-0! Iheanacho dispatches!

Just like that... Nacho punishing his old club.

My revelation for that match: Patson daka. Man will score loads in his career.

How can Iheanacho have so good a shooting technique, yet be so poor at penalties.

Nearly ended his career by missing that.
