The reason there were that many people there in the first place is people felt comfortable to live there without facing prejudice and such. I'm sure you know about the great migration from the South. As Southern states began to become more metropolitan and inclusive, now you feel comfortable to go back there.

That's the thing - "seemed to have ended". That was speculative reporting without being definitive to absolve Hillary of any blame for associating with him. We know how the MSM muddied the waters and twisted reality to favour Hillary.

There have been several reports since that Byrd still associated with the KKK even during office but he was low-key as many of its influential figures attended events with him and were seen in his company.

You are mixing issues. Not to hold brief but the picanninies was 20 years ago.

The letter boxes was an article he wrote as a backbench MP criticising Denmark's ban on the Burkha. This was after Jack Straw a Labour MP refused to speak to woman wearing a burkha until she takes it off. While he said it's aesthetically unpleasing, and he wouldn't want to let someone in his office with a balaclava, same way having the Burkha on looks like speaking to someone through a letterbox but he will defend Muslim women's rights to wear it.

He definitely pushed the boundary on that one and apologised for his use of language but I won't hold brief for him on it.
