Please guys I need an answer to this question. If I'm asked about my future plans after studies, can I say I want to do a PHD?

My interview is tomorrow at Ikeja VAC (I got a nonstraightforward mail). Please assist

Whatever answer you give, always link it to home ties ( You coming back to Nigeria).

I have few questions I want to ask if you don't mind

1) when did you did you do your biometrics
2 when did you receive the non straightforward mail
3) were you expressly told to come to Ikeja VAC for an interview?

Hi,

Interviews are discretionary at best. Gap years are not a major issue for the UK as I learn it is for Canada and some others.

What I will advise though, your program should be linked to either your BSC or current job/career.

Fabulux:
Hello everyone,
Is there any one that had their first degree in 2005 that has gotten visa without any interview from UKVI? Hope study gap won't be an issue. Cos I had my BSC in 2005.
Pls help provide answer to my question.

Advancing a career with a PhD is good but it’s better to state the prospects for holding a master degree back in Nigeria. Like mention the position you will be coming back to hold and how you intend to fill the lacuna upon return to your country (emphasize on coming back to Nigeria. Be patriotic all through). Also, the amount you stand to earn etc.

The question will majorly come from what you wrote in your SOP.

My great people, do I need to still visit wakanow office if am buying flight ticket online or it's something I can complete online without visiting their office ?

If there is an office close to you, you can visit. However I was able to get a BA ticket for myself and spouse through a wakanow agent without visiting any of their offices. All transactions were done online.

Ukvi doesn't have access to your statement of purpose, only the school does.

My honest opinion would be to stick with ur original flight schedule.
What would you do if your flight from here also gets delayed on the day of take-off? You don't want to be under unnecessary pressure

checkmateman:
Please who knows how much time it will take to get through border force or check when i landed in heathrow,.

My flight will land at 5:55 AM and i have a connecting from heathrow to Manchester, BA send an email that flight time has changed from 10AM to 1PM so i am looking at changing to another which is at 7:55 AM.

Will the time be okay since i have to be at the boarding terminal 20 minutes before departure.

Both departure and arrival are at the same terminal

Good evening house.....@Justwise and others Please I have read some comments here about why people opt for a one year MSc Course over two years and I want to ask and be enlightened....If someone who got an offer for a one year Course is able to pay his/her tuition without stress, which is one of the reasons people opt for two years, are there other reasons that makes two years option better? I got an offer to study Infotech(1yr) for Sept 2021, the two years option with placement is available only for Jan 2022.....would it be wise to defer? Should I continue on with the race? Someone please advise thanks

People go for two yrs mainly because it gives you longer stay in the UK, you will be given 18months visa and enjoy two summer holidays

If you want to get ILR through the long route then 2yrs masters helps you to build up more yrs, two yrs masters also come with work placement though that work placement program doesn't favour everyone...you hardly get a placement in the area you studied..

Good Evening everyone,
I have a distant cousin 35 years old.

Can his dad(UK resident) sponsor him?

What is the chance of getting a tier 4 visa?
Thanks!

Justwise

Yes he can

Age shouldn't be an issue but if he has some gaps between work or graduation then he needs to address those idle period.

Is Abuja not closer to Ekiti compared to Lagos ?

And it seem the crowd(for walk-in appointment) in Abuja is decent compared to VI & Ikeja.

Yes, but its quite cheaper if you pay via form A.

For example: Get the funds from your relative, sell at 700/£ black market rate. Apply for form A and you’ll be debited at (575 - 585)/£ CBN RATE.

you’ll have extra naira to use for other things

Yeah, my friend had the same thing, no master in between since 2005 being her first degree, she has applied for her master but was called to be interviewed on Monday. Could that be the reason ukvi is calling for the interview? I doubt. That has nothing to do with it ukvi. I think Your school is the one that can cause delay in CAS Just because of much gap.

Good evening, Thank you so much for your input....Yes, my issue isn't about convenience in paying tuition by opting for longer programme....but if doing this one year course without an internship will limit me in anyway at the completion.....I'm just concerned about the internship/experience that I may be deficient of .....I think I should better ask my question this way "In the UK what's the ease of securing a job after doing a course without placement"?

I am not in the UK so I may not be able to answer like someone who's on ground

One thing I do know is that local experience always helps immensely when job hunting. I am saying this from the experience of my friends in Germany, Australia and Canada

In the case of the 1 yr placement, I believe it will be very helpful smiley

@justwise and other gurus in the house please advice.

Please for someone resuming on the 20th September and his pof has not started counting when is the deadline the pof should be in the account?

Will the 16th August fly knowing that you can only apply by the 14th September?

Has anyone used investment certificate/letter from a financial institution as pof to successfully apply for visa?

Thanks
