Okocha has his shortcomings, yes, but when you consider the footballing background and orientation Okocha and Messi had, you'd certainly realise why Messi is more productive than Okocha.

Okocha was a street footballer, and grew up with that mentality, he didn't really have any systematic grassroots football education, unlike Messi who, went to one of the best football academies in the world, from quite an early age, too.

Regardless of Okocha's flaws, which are not even really his making, I would choose watching him any time to Messi. Okocha was a magician with a football at his feet. To me, he's one of the best players the world has ever known. He's among the best five dribblers ever, in football history.

Trust me, if Okocha had the privilege of attending Lamesia at 13, he certainly would have turned to be one of the greatest footballers of all time. He's certainly one of the most gifted footballers of all time, for me.

While you've made a right point, where did you get your own information that Okocha never played in any Champions League matches? The ones he played for PSG nko? I mean, I could remember him scoring for PSG against Deportivo La Coruna in the Champions League in 2001 or so. PSG ended up losing the match 4-3 after leading 3-0. I remember a certain Walter Pandiani scoring a hattrick (three headers) for Deportivo after coming on from the bench.

Our own JJ was a great footballer no doubt, but there are levels, and he never reached that exclusive class of exceptional talents. It's not something we should be embarrassed about.

He went to three nations cup tournaments while in the prime of his career, but couldn't help his team get over the hump.
He wasn't very efficient, in terms of setting up and scoring goals at a decent clip while at PSG, that's why he was shipped off after only a couple years, and Ronaldinho that took over his duties i am sure we all saw the difference.
