Sir, the right up above is for those who have dreams and believe they can achieve it not for those who don't care about their dreams, aspirations and skills. For that guy to have worth #2M as undergraduate means he has something special in him and can do better in life than thinking of becoming uber driver immediately after graduation.

"Advice, like talk, is cheap."

But let me start by asking you, how easy do you want it in life without putting the effort?

You paint this hustle with so much bad press that i wonder if mentally everything is alright because I can't seem to fathom why, after so many years, you're still in it?

My advice to newbies is not to be weary of people like cheerfulgiver, kanuisagoat... who are putting in the efforts now for the goal they have in sight, but rather of people like you who is in the business with the hope that one day you will get lucky.

It is really hard typing here without resisting the urge to call out your character.

Now, this is the hard truth. This hustle will not favour everyone and you're probably one of those but you fail to realise this.

By far this hustle is the easiest for anyone who owns a car.

Lastly, you talk about CEO' like they never had humble beginnings. But if you can't understand right now that this hustle is someone's humble beginning then you simply can't be helped!

I never knew you're so senseless all these while.

Kontinue!

Heard something strange today from someone I carried. Maybe some of us here would have heard about it.

So the rider told me he booked a ride from the airport to his hotel. On arrival, he was informed that the hotel was fully booked so he quickly brought out his phone to call the bolt driver that brought him to take him to another hotel. The hotel receptionists told him that may not be necessary because they have cab guys who hang around the hotel.

They called one for him who uses a Sienna and the guy took him to another hotel.

On arrival, he paid him and went inside the hotel. While he was processing his booking, they heard a loud scream and by the time they rushed out, they found the guy infront of his vehicle pushed against the wall by his vehicle. He died instantly

It appears the guy wanted to open the bonnet to check something and for some strange reasons, the vehicle moved at a speed high enough to kill him.

Now to the strange part. When they opened the vehicle, the gear was on park though the engine was running.

How the vehicle managed to move with so much power as to kill him while the gear was in P remains a mystery.

You're losing it bro have some level of dignity and self respect.

It's a shame you talk from the two sides of your mouth... Too bad.

What are you saying Feli Feli...
I have never heard or experienced any of these things you mentioned here.
Reason why I asked if u r exaggerating or joking. All u need to do is make this claims factually.

Someone mentioned here that he fell down wen he stepped out of his car...if u don't eat and u r working any work at all for hours u will faint. It's not peculiar to driving alone.
All I want to hear are sicknesses/ailments that are caused directly as a result of one driving. I am interested in this. Back and waist pain i know because u sitting down. Not as if people don't sit down in their offices. but poor eye sight, pile, pot belly abeg I want to know more.

I don hear something new today......

Three (3) disadvantage of driving uber according to feli and supported by gentlelife based on his experience;

a) Pot belly
b) Pile
c) Poor eye sight

why everything start with "P" nah..........

Honestly, like someone has said, albeit repeatedly, THIS IS THE WRONG CROWD....

When we were much younger and they advice us not to associate with some neighbor, or some kid in your street/estate; This are the children they were referring to.......I apologise to everyone i may have had some disagreement with on this thread..It's time to just "sit down and look", it's not worth a ten cent coin anymore...#Peace

Happy sitting back to die of severe pain in silence.

To the Undergrad guy ...I'm sure we've confused you by now grin no mind us o almost everyone on this thread no well..me inclusive so let me use this medium to share my testimony with y'all.

Last year Wen I first joined this hustle...even if Jesus himself came down to tell me not to do it, I for tell m say no Wahala, Wen e don go, I go carry my Moto enter road...I was that focused! I made money! a little bit above average for my age. But the main reason I had to stop was I saw myself being comfortable doing it which is against my rule on every menial job I've ever done. YES! it's a menial job, but a VERY profitable one. I've been a cleaner, a security guy, but I was never comfortable or lost focus until I did Uber. The thrill of not knowing what to expect from the next rider, the daily income and most importantly my love for driving ALMOST made me forget what I wanted for myself. I finally stopped with a bad car, Overconfidence higher than the sum in my account and my little business idea.

After plenty mentorship, I started my Shortlet leasing sumtime in January ending I guess, had my first client in March after many taughts and regrets over leaving uber but the joy and fulfilment I had doing this was something I couldn't describe.... Soon had my first client in march I guess..It was just a 3day booking with 10k markup making 30k, the client then introduced me to one of these skit guys on IG the next week, another 3day booking anoda 30k ..all the calls and payments were from my house that very day..there and then the taught of Uber vanished and I remember posting my account for sale and unfollowing the thread that same day grin this 3day-max 14day booking sequence continued till May. On one of my networking afternoons (I Neva joke with networking) after church..one of our church leaders told me his firm needs my service for their expat coming in. Chinese dude came in late may, to stay in our UAR for 10months while I marked up just 7k (I no go do ogboju for church member na cheesy) So here I am, earning 7k as soon as the clock hits 11:59 while still aggressively sourcing for other clients and leasing for return clients as well. Lets not even talk about my female counterparts in this line of business with deals like this in 5's and above.

So to my Undergrad bro, Lagos, as small as it is, is a land of many opportunities. Uber is one of them, jobs(and I mean GOOD JOBS) , Comission based services, Businesses, e.t.c I'll advice you buy the car, but don't buy it with the intentions of driving for Uber Full Time. There's more out there for young guys like us! I may hv found mine, but can you find yours?

Mr Cheerful, l'll attend to the bolded.

1. Without you telling me, I knew you drive daily and accumulate a good chunk of driving hours, translating in the earnings you've posted. In fact, I can say that "you know the road and the road knows you". You have knowledge and must have had challenges while on the job. That knowledge is what newbies and even some experienced folks need. They don't know the effort, determination and uncountable sacrifices you've made to get to where you are. We both know there's money in e-hailing but effort and sacrifices must be made to get it. Newbies need to learn this first, then the money follows. The dashboard screenshots is deceptive cos it makes it look like we get the money so easy and we both know this isn't true.

2. It's a good thing that you don't fall sick but what about the car? A car that's driven on a daily basis on this job must undergo routine maintenance. So on the days you do, it would be helpful to update the house too. This doesn't mean we dey monitor you like spirit, no but when this is done, newbies can set a realistic goal for themselves. They know what to expect in the job. Me too fit learn something from you and vice versa.

You're a determined man and that's a good thing.
As a newbie, I had no serious challenges except friends. Friends distracted me. Had to cut them off. Then I had to find a way to stop being so sleepy by 10pm, till I realized eating dinner late caused that for me. Dashboard isn't deceptive because it's my dashboard and what's there is my truth. I can't twist my truth to suit what you think the truth should be or twist my truth to make you feel better. It is what it is. I guess I was created special. Divine intelligence.

everything I know I've passed down to the 21 guys in my telegram group. They were the ones that responded when I asked people struggling to mail me. So you can't say I haven't played a part. These guys beat my daily records many times. Some. Not all. None makes below 100k a week now.

Driving is easy for me, uber driving is easier. You don't have to believe me but driving is a hobby and a passion. Been driving since I was 14 in SS1. Over ** years now. No one thought me how to drive. Things I do now are second nature to me.

These are my truths. You don't have to believe them, you can't change them. It's me and I'm it. I really don't have to explain myself to anyone. What I post is for motivational purposes only. People who counter me do so only with mouth. Nothing to show for it. They criticize my methods, but present no better alternatives, neither can they argue logically and with facts, so they resort to being negative to themselves hoping that their negativity will overshadow my positivity. Hasn't worked out for them either

The one that thought fraud was the way, advising how to cancel trips inside surge, how market? Now that surge is gone, Guy is confused as fuck_ grin His fraud strategy is dead in the water.

My car hmm. It amazes you how it doesn't break down, and how it's on the road daily? Simple. I do preventive maintenance. A stitch in time prevents downtime. I hate downtime. I once took a defensive driving course online. It helps me not scratch my car either from a fault of mine, or the next driver. I anticipate what the drivers around me are about to do and I protect my car accordingly.

With the body covered, now the mechanical part. A new car makes no sound, so whatever sounds I hear from my own car is foreign and I tend to it as soon as possible. I know every part of a car and I know whatever part that is wrong with my car so I call my mechanic in advance to buy it and anticipate my arrival. On days I visit the mechanic, I start working before 5. By 11 am I'm at his place and I've made half or almost half of my daily target. I leave there after 7 hours with a fixed up car and I have 6 hrs to complete my daily target. I take naps while there so I'm never really tired.

My diet consists of more protein than less. Then water. Plenty water. It lubricates the eyes. My eyes. Sugary drinks makes me tired, so I try to avoid. Water is better. I always try to combine 2 activities together. Eating + car is being washed, napping while car is being washed, napping while car is being fixed, napping while waiting for destination trips, etc. I'm always a happy fellow and I follow the golden rule.

These are some of my truths. It's not conventional but it works for me. Uber is easy for me, and will always be easy. Nothing will change that truth for me... Nothing.

Lets reason logically together.

I drive everyday. It makes sense that if I don't drive for one day, there'll be a gap on my earnings page. Have you ever seen one of recent?

I've mentioned here that I don't fall sick, and that days I go to the mechanic, I split my works hours.

If I have pain days, I'll show it. How am I expected to post pains that I don't have?

What is the biggest and time consuming repair have you carried out on your car before? And how many hours was spent on repair?

Total suspension parts change. May. Took same amount of time

Left car and went home both times.

A stick in time prevents downtime.

Nothing.

After this, i don’t think you need to say anything else.

Felifeli, remember I said I won't take your post serious again? On this one, you got me and I would advise the Intending ones to weigh this advise before taking final decision. No one can gross 980k as a part time driverpartner. It requires extra/over time. Take it or leave it. Make ago check where surge dey jàre before them park everything finish

Never overwrite or dispose anybody, though, no one is indispensable but all are tools in the hands of a creator grin

Mr Felicity, I believe this is the first time I'm quoting you. Just let go of all these chiacking. It's not easy but Just try to ignore the backlash even if folks don't agree with your views on matters. Everyone is entitled to their opinions so do you. I'm also pleading to the others.

Catalytic converter in December. Took Monday morning to Tuesday evening.

Total suspension parts change. May. Took same amount of time

Left car and went home both times.

That is quite cool and well planned out for you.

Not everybody will like to share his/her health status on forum like this. They won't want you guys to use it against them in the nearest future.

Fair enough but there are many ways of passing a message without personalising it.

This is good for someone with a personal car.

HP will need to be netting twice to meet target

Yeah very true but only true for those drivers who are married and are on either rental or HP. They will definitely need to double the hustle to make 15-20k net daily. That's a whole lot of work and time there bro.

For you to have netted N20,000 it means you must have grossed at least N30,000-33,000.

because commission on N30k is N6k

You'll need 3.5-4.5k fuel on a sound corolla or Honda civic to gross that amount, if you're lucky to have 70% of your trips on surge and long distance trips with less time spent on traffic you can gross 35-37/38k with 4.5k fuel.

Assume all conditions are Constant:

20k net should generate about 29-33k gross after all deductions.

This will require a minimum of 12hrs online.

And not possible during weekdays but possible during weekends especially on Sundays BUT not everyday.

Unless the night life returns then we can have such earnings again.

Need proof? Ask the diabolic one to share his daily earnings with time spent online.

But note: these are many truth people like pearl1910, the diabolic cheerfulgiver, crv and dangote partners dapo and we@uncle gbagada will never tell you but me myself and I will also speak the truth. I am felicity001 aka the hoodlum drivergrin (come e don tey una call me that name ooh, I always roll when you guys call me thatgrin)

Now let the argument begin.

A friend of mine told me he almost fall down when he got out of his car one day that he just gently rest on the burnet of the car and sat on the floor for some minutes before he regained his strength. He said his legs were shaking vigorously. Myself, I like driving early in the morning and night and I discovered my sight is seriously affected by the ray of light faced during this time of the day. I pursue free medical one month like that and I won it with Total fuel card 45k. The free medical after 300trips can not solve the eye problem for me as they said I entitled to only 10k for eye clinics. The worse part of it was that my account was blocked same month up till now. Since then I gave myself sense regarding pursuing bonuses and free monthly health care when I realized uberbolt don't care. Though some people were extraordinarily created by God but not all of us.

God bless you my dear brother for this gospel of true experience you just shared... At least we are gradually getting more justification to my post.

Let those who wants to deceive people continue.

We are all watching from behind the scene.
