Hello Enjay316,

If you have a sitting balance of NGN 9.5m, C$10,000 GIC, and a full year's fees receipt payment, you don't need to include a co-sponsor if you don't want to. However, any lump sum should be explained and justified. This has been the undoing for most applicants refused for "Personal Assets & Financial Status" despite meeting the necessary financial requirement.

In answering your question, if he is a sponsor or co-sponsor, the need to include his financial record is important. If he is acting only as a support to offset part of your study expenses, including his bank record becomes optional. A letter of support stating his commitment and how it will or has been offset can be highlighted in it.

Best of Luck
thank you so much big bro.it is the issue of lump sum that is making me to name him as my sponsor cos the VO may want to know my Domiciliary account history if I purchased a GIC using funds from there and that is where the lump sum comes in. that's y I want to name him as a co sponsor or supporting sponsor.as for the 9.5m .I have a wife and son that I am leaving behind and my wife's account is so poor ,I cant even submit it.though I am planning to submit an employment letter for her and probably work ID but since I am not submitting her statement of account, it's better I have a healthy balance. what do u think bro?

Thank you so much for the advise

olasubomy:

I can totally relate. The waiting game is never easy at all because you have lots of plans on hold just waiting for a decision mail. Please see response in bold.

1. inform school visa is not ready and ask for admission deferral - Your friend can try to wait till 2 to 3 days to the due date for deferral, for instance, if your friend has till September 1st to make up her mind to defer, she can give it till August 28 or 29 then advise the school to effect deferral if the decision has still not yet come from IRCC so, I would say your friend keep discussions with her school open and let them know she would likely opt for a deferral, so they have your friend in mind, with that they are able to advise her on the latest date to get back to the school. Who knows, the PPR love letter can drop before then.
2. start the course online while waiting and hoping for approval from IRCC (is there a repercussion if this is done and the application gets denied) - This would depend on your friend and her decison to make, but it would be a risky gamble. It is better to have some positive assurance from immigration before committing yourself to enroll in classes. Some people take this gamble and end in their favour but it is a huge risk. The first risk is the person won't be able to defer admission anymore because they are already fully enrolled and secondly would not be able to get a refund on the tuition fee, which is a huge expense when you compare CAD to Naira

3. wait and do nothing and let September go by (what will happen to the admission at this point) = This also depends on the school's policy. Your friend would need to communicate with the international student office and immigration advisor of her school to advise her accordingly. Doing nothing is not an option.

Thank you so much!
GodsGabby:

I think you should wait for a decision to be made.
This is because you can defer nd God being so kind your ppr drops.

You can also wait for a decision which can aid you withdraw tuition fee and it can also aid you to defer as well.

Please those starting online, someone made a post with screenshot that CANADA will not count that period of study online outside canada towards ur PGWP.

Please gurus clear out too.

I know two people who paid 1500 CAD as tuition deposit and they were two different courses.
So I guess you could use $1,500CAD as average.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by kemmyk: 9:47pm On Aug 12, 2021
Oh thanks, will definitely start pushing from tomorrow

School: Niagara college

EmeeNaka:
The deadline IRCC gave you for submission is called a Bring Forward date and doesn't mean, you must wait till that date before you submit. If you can get these documents that are requested tomorrow, your application will start to be processed by Monday or Tuesday next week. Do as fast as you can, so that they can completely process your application before beginning of Fall Semester.
Updated Letter Of Acceptance simply could mean they have reservations over the one you Submitted. So just advice your school to issue you updated one,if there is updated one. If there is no updated one, submit the one you have. BTW,which school is that?

Hi, thanks for checking. Not yet. A consultant has reviewed my application from the surface, says I may reapply but till my notes come before he will be certain I won’t need JR. Said I didn’t do much with proving relationship between my uncle and I, no birth certificate showing he’s my dads brother, among other little things in his own opinion. A lawyer is currently reviewing also and am waiting for his comments.

thanks for checking in, I came to reply cos I got your mail

It is well . I am praying strength for you. I pray your gcms note will say it all. Above all, your next application or JR (whichever) will be given God’s speed and instant approval in Jesus name.

I pray for everyone waiting to get a desired outcome and to those who were refused, don’t relent, your testimony is around the corner.

19CannyMum:

This thread was my only source of info. Eligibility and background check started within 2 days after applying. NSE requirements provided at submission with good ielts (highest band) and 1 year MBS. Self sponsored. Upfront medicals. Sibling in Canada (PR). Travel history to Europe and US.

Document list
Letter of acceptance (1 year post diploma certificate, but career progression was very clear)
Passport
Proof of means of financial support:
Conversion table
Official fee schedule
My Bank statement certificate 1 (joint account)
My Bank statement certificate 2 (Dom account)
My Bank Statement certificate 3 (personal savings)
Spouse consent letter
Pension
Digital photo
Medical exam slip
Client information (I merged everything below into one file):
Statement of Purpose (I addressed career path and ties)
Newspaper and marriage cert
Police Clearance Certificate
Letter of intent (the one presented to the school to gain admission)
CV (showing career progression)
WAEC
B.SC
NYSC
IELTS
Current contract
Past contracts
Contact currently being negotiated
Salary account my bank statement
Payslips (last three months)
Birth certificate
Birth Certificate of spouse
BC of children
Spouse's employment letter
2 C of O and one deed

My employment letter stated that I was going on vacation lol and my current contract ends before December. Those were the main weaknesses of my application and I tried to address them in my SOP.

Total money in all bank accounts far exceeded $30k and there was serious inflow and outflow... Like up to 15m can leave today, 5m come in tomorrow etc. This was another weakness.

However grace covered the weaknesses.

Thanks to everyone who shares their experiences here. Especially to those who are brave enough to share their delays. Delay is never denial, pick up and refire please.

I ordered GCMS notes yesterday (21st business day after medicals passed), I will share it here once received.

School resumes in September and I had already registered to resume online. No tuition payment has been made. Crossing over to SOWP thread now.

Thank you for all the congrats and good wishes. It will go round and you will be celebrated too.
