The Nigerian labour system is exploitative, wicked, retrogressive, slavish, brutish, messed up, barbaric, one that ruins people trapped in it.

This is what NLC, TUC should tackle. If banks could donate billions for COVID palliatives, why don’t they invest much in improving staff welfare so that each worker is paid all their allowances they are entitled to.

Now the abnormal is now normal. All firms sadly even multinational companies now casualties their labor force. And even when some expatriates want to do what’s obtainable in their home countries, their Nigerian colleagues would tell them otherwise thereby slashing workers pay leaving him with just basic pay that is even tampered with.

For this reason I advocate workers be paid per hour among other reforms needed to make the Nigerian working environment workers-friendly
